I wanted to thank you for treating our entire crew to lunch today, from the Longitude production line here in Wichita Ks. I have been here nearly 30 yrs and never had a Customer thank us for our hard work, it is also a wonderful treat to see our aircraft in your videos, it's almost as if I am sitting beside you flying in the jet, truly a blast for the ride!
Very nice Max! A great example of appreciation.
Came to say the same thing!
How about that. A NYC kid showing the midwesterners something about appreciation! Congrats Max. We need more people like you.
@@gregoryward93 Max = Class Act !!
Im not surprised he did that! You all should be proud of the great product you make.
Max, thank you on behalf of the Longitude line in Wichita, Ks for the bbq lunch! That was very kind of you and greatly appreciated from everyone here! Safe flying and enjoy your new bird!
Legend has it that Max greased every simulator landing.
Talk about performance anxiety... having an IP sitting over your shoulder for uncommon procedures has got to be nerve wracking. Great job!
Good lord I was stressing just watching him - my hats off to all pilots and the training they receive. True professionals.
Exactly!
Agreed, its cool to watch someone thats a master at their craft handle the situations cool calm and collected
Simulated EPs are the greatest training. You can practice it thousands of times without fear of killing yourself, others, or damaging any property. This video is a good reminder of that
I've flown and observed a lot of corporate pilots over my 45-year career, and in my opinion, Max is one of the absolute best and most professional pilots in the business. Citation Mom and Citation Dad -- as well as the entire industry should be extremely proud of who he is.
Thank You Max for taking us along. Wonderful to see the tech involved in this amazing training session...Safe Travels
I was just there last week for my Longitude type rating. Had the 8pm to 3 am training slot! Have my first flight in the aircraft this coming Monday!
Maddog, Foxie has her aviator hat and scarf ready to fly , She's a flyingfur happy dog🦊. Good luck with your First flight in that Jet. !
Max, you continue to push the extremes of what this channel can be. The education you’re providing is truly a special treat.
Simulator work is never easy. I only wish the general public were allowed to get a look in to the level of training and dedication of the Professional Pilots. Like you and those who fly Commercially
You can in Atlanta, Georgia. I think the public can use one for 500.00 last time I checked. I would LOVE to go and know any mistakes are not final landing's. 🛩️🦊
Thanks to the owner of the simulator for allowing us to witness this.
Not a pilot, but I used to set up and conduct tours for an Air Force base. Had the chance to fly the C-130 full-motion simulator several times, including flying under a bridge. You could hardly tell you weren’t in the real thing. Very cool.
How ironic for me. For whatever reason the instructor picked Memphis for this where I am and born and raised.
Cant wait to see more vids in the new Citation. Great channel.
I love seing that Max's shirt is an "last minute emergency shopping" shirt. Good to know I am not the only one messing things up and having to go out and buy a new shirt wearing it immidiately showing all the wrinkles from how it was folded in the packaging in the store. 😂😂
Great idea to film this critical part of what you do, and kudos to Flight Safety for their willingness to let you film the process. It's a great testament to what they do too.
Most airline pilots would be very happy if they performed as well as you did here. Im very impressed. So calm and professional!!!
That was fantastic Max, thanks for taking us along!
Always love your videos Max. This simulator ride was something I haven’t seen in a long time. I will always remember a comment many years ago in one of your videos. He heavily criticized your flying skills. People were going to get killed, plane was going to crash, you were a dangerous pilot…blah, blah, blah. Look at you now. You’re not just flying passengers you’re flying your family and friends. I’m proud for you being such an accomplished pilot. Fly safe.
Flying Fur Kids Around The World!
This brings back memories of my Airline Days, having to go to the Sims every 6 months. It was always interesting!!! Good Job! Good Video!
Happy Flying!!!
The detail is crazy! You can even see the FedEx ramp and the new terminal at Mem
Very professional walk around / pre-flight on the Sim. Captain Schmindy taught you well!
Flight Safety at MCO is also a really nice facility, I took training for the Bravo over there. Greetings from Mexico Max.
Wow Max nice! Thank you for sharing with us :) ❤
I would like to have this Full Motion Cockpit at home 😅
I still have pictures of my FlightSafety BE40 sim experience. It was the coolest thing ever and it looks like the experience has gotten even better!
I found myself leaning in the turns and almost felt the wheels touchdown. Awesome training facility.
I did too! I thought I was a little silly!
Actually you're not supposed to lean in a real airplane when the plane turns, if you are turning it correctly. The forces push you straight down in your seat.
Beautiful turns, landings, all of it. So crisp, professional, and polite. A+++
Max, that looked VERY real! Well done!
max is for sure the real deal if there were any haters out there👍😎
Max, this was super interesting and realistic! I’ve never been in a Sim but after watching this video, I feel I have. Thanks for taking me along!
Amazing video. I can't wait to fly citations and go through flight safety
Hello Max want to express my gratitude because they allowed you to record ... that's awesome and congratulations.... !!! so nice training !! All The Best !!!
Very nicely done! I don't think I would ever be scared with you as my pilot for sure.
Thanks Max for the experience. Continued safe flying.
calm cool collected.. you flew that simulator just as you would the plane..im just glad the ''fire'' was not an actual fire in the air..
This video is awesome, great and professional production. Glad I found this channel.
All of this looks very familiar! Shoutout Flight Safety. I will say my V1 cut happens exactly when my SIC calls it. They gave you a nice margin
Thanks for this Max, some of us are still a long ways away from where your at, but we're working to get there! Nice to get a glimpse of what may be on the horizon. Safe travels Max!
Awesome Max, if I ever fly again, I would want you as my pilot, I can see why that aircraft is a 2 pilot jet, that would be rough as a single pilot
Would be cool to maybe have a video explaining the differences between the previous aircraft and this one, and what was needed to get rated for this type.
This was a really interesting video. It’s not every day you get to go behind-the-scenes to see how a pilot is trained. It’s amazing show of those when you get the opportunity.
@citationMax I love this kind of video. As a surgeon, i love to see the level of crew resource management which we in the OR should strive for. It may all seem like just procedures to you, but that’s the point. God forbid it ever happens for real, it is so good to have procedures to fall back on. Exemplary work.
I managed to get an hour ride in the right seat of a Canadair Challenger 601 sim at the CAE factory in Montreal back in 1988. The graphics were terrible (limited to night scenes only) compared to today's sims but still very realistic. I think I have owned every version of MSFS since it was introduced. The first was Flight SImulator II made by SubLogic for the Commodore Amiga back in 1986. It worked. Congrats on your Longitude PIC Type Rating. Very cool.
Max, did the same approach into MEM LOC 27R circle to land 18R for my Vision Jet Type Rating last week!
Fun watching you do the the sim using Memphis. I did my PPL check ride there many years ago, best I remember 18C was 18L back then
Max, good Thursday morning, thank you very much for taking us along!
Take care and safe travels….
Fantastic ride along Max..thanks buddy. Love seeing this sim work and the CRM going on! Awesome!
You're a true professional and a great pilot!! So cool to see this!! Thanks for sharing!
Max, your parents should be very proud of you. Everyone on one of your flights should feel safe with you at the pointed end.
heck im proud of him, such a great human
Congratulations!
I hope you aren’t going to miss being able to fly the jet single pilot too much! I wish you many happy and safe hours of flying.
Thanks Max. I've never seen a simulator in action. Pretty realistic.
Thanks, Max. Always a pleasure to ride along virtually.
Man, from looking at some of these comments, I'd say most of you are obsessed with this guy.
Max thanks for this insight I always wanted to see the kind of training that happens in this legendary place
Great video and very educational as always!
I wish the sim had the EVS like the real 2RF that you could use for the approaches!!!
Back in the day, if that was MEM. After the circle attempt, you fly the published miss. Which means left climbing turn back to join the 27 missed procedure.
Amazing how an entire checkride is condensed into 20 min. Great job Max. Next time you’re in ICT, stop in the east center and say hi!
Max Thanks for a look at the process involved with the type rating check ride process. Amazing simulators at flight safety and you handled everything just fine. I was happy to see you in Tampa as I reside here. Can't wait to see more videos in the new Longitude.
Greetings from Norway. This was great! Thank you all -
Should have tried the stalls at 40000 feet too. Its a whole bunch different, in both at the shaker and the recovery.
Nicely done
It was awesome seeing the EPs being done in a training setting. Don’t get too see the much.
i remember when i was a teen my dad worked for Canadair Bombardier and he brought me to Flight Safety in Montreal and i flew in the simulator the Challenger!
Ok this is freaking cool - Always wanted to see more of this type stuff. Love it!
Awesome video. I’m gonna use your method on engine failure. “I’ll protect the good engine”
Nice flying, Max. Great to see you are capable of handling the various incidents you are liable to meet.
This was fascinating to watch. What a superb sim. And great guys there. Thanks for taking us along
That simulator seems awesome... Very nice video and well done!
dude! You're a rockstar..... This is exciting to see you manage the range of situations.
Blimey! That engine out just after take off is pretty violent!! Great video! Thank god this was only in the sim!
Max
Fantastic video! The simulator technology is amazing. Being able to train for some bad scenarios in the trainer makes for safer skies in the real world! Best channel on the Net!
👍👍
Excellent Captaincy Max! Very cool handling of stressful situations.
I would ride with you....and I value my neck highly!!!
Spectacular, Max! Top-notch piloting skills. 😊
Very cool that you showed this! I'm not a pilot, but I am a flight Sim Enthusiast on DCS world and Microsoft flight simulator. I always wondered what a check ride was like.
That was pretty cool max cheers for the sim insight, great job by all involved .
LOVE THE MUSIC YOU SELECT
Exceptional, Max! Excellent content!
Happy for you Max enjoy the ride and make the most of it
Great Job, Max! Thank you for sharing your journey with us.
Thx Max for the ride along on the Flight International sim...amazing...you're the man.
Excellent video Max, keep up the great work and safe flying.
Thank you for taking the time to show us what is involved in your safety training.
Very reapractice
listic.....so amazing to get to "practice situations".....Great Job Max!
That is one heck of a gaming console there!😂
Thank you Max for taking us to school with you! This is real cool to watch and gather information. Now would this be Awesome have for home sims flying?
max, i was sweating watching the engine out procedure. well done! AND no visibility!
They way hardware has come along for the casual flight simmer at home. Would not be surprised see more and more home motion simulators.. Anyway always love these types of uploads. As give the general public and detail of understanding. As to the depth of training one had to go through in order to get his/hers type rating. Thanks for sharing👍
Dope Cinematography!! Love it man!
Level D is the bomb. At least he didn't make you go SE missed! Thanks Max!
Great video Max its pretty cool to get to see what goes on in the simulator.
Awesome thanks for sharing.
Guarding the good engine shows great awareness. Many pilots in the past shut down the good engine.
Apart from the APU, Tiller and Reverse thrust, is the Longitude very different from the CJ3? How challenging was the conversion training and transition for you? Are there any aspects of the CJ3 that you miss? Great video and thanks for taking us along, Max.
Awesome job Max! Keep up the good work.😊😊❤
Makes me nervous just watching this demo check ride!
Max, If my Brother In Law would allow me to fly his little 250, I would start with this type of training before leaving the ground, at least I wouldn't reck a 150,000.00 plane. I can't imagine what is is to fly a multi million dollar jet. Was it as nerve wrecking as it looked ? Or a walk on the cloud's. 🤗
Fur kids put your paws up and relax, Max is flying you 🐕🐕🐕🐕🦊🛩️✈️
Very Cool video Max!
Welcome back Max.
Wow. Those are some steep turns. Interesting video. Thank you!
Great video. That looks like Simplicity IOS for the instructor station. I was one of the two developers who originally wrote that.
Cool stuff, I need a simulator like that at home, lol
Thanks Max…very cool seeing this!
Nice video. Fun to watch. Do they ever throw crazy stuff at you in these simulator sessions? Like maybe hitting a flock of birds or possibly another plane on the runway you're scheduled to land?
