    Chile vs. Argentina (0-1)
Argentina Makes the Copa América Quarterfinals with a Last-Minute Goal. Spot!
The defending champions dominated the game at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, taking 22 shots.
Manchester City striker Julian Alvarez and Fiorentina midfielder Nicolas Gonzalez were the first to test Chile goalkeeper Claudio Bravo, establishing the tone early.
Argentina's icon Lionel Messi had the finest chance of the first half, but the Inter Miami star's shot was stopped by the post. Chile's first shot at goal came in the 72nd minute, when Rodrigo Echeverria forced a save from goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.
That opportunity seemed to jolt Chile into life. Echeverria and Marcelino Nunez both challenged Aston Villa goalkeeper Martinez as Chile sought to halt a 30-game losing streak against Argentina in the Copa America.
With the game going toward a disappointing tie, Inter Milan attacker Martinez broke the deadlock in the 88th minute. Argentina's sole disappointment would be that they did not score more than one goal despite having a formidable lineup.
Argentina leads Group A and is guaranteed a top-two finish with one match to spare. They will play their last group game against Peru on Sunday (01:00 BST).
