Lance is awesome, one of my favorite parts ever right here. He reminds us that skating is about letting go and having fun man. Thank you for this Lance. You're one of the best
the fact that this video has almost no recognition is mind blowing, this is one of the best parts i’ve seen ever. i mean look at lance man, still fuckin leavin his heart in the bowl it’s beautiful
OK, wait. This is cool when old timers feature in modern videos and show they still have skills, but this is something else. This could have been a killer part in a Bones Brigade video. This is insane.
@@Sk8Vader but they're saying that this part is something way better than just showing that lance mountain still has skills so what you said doesn't even make sense
Still one of the best parts I've ever seen. I remember being completely blown away the first time I saw this. You can see the passion in his skating. Lance is a true skate rat.
I didn't like Lance, but I didn't dislike him. After seeing this part for the second time in my life, I LOVE LANCE MOUNTAIN. This was a great part, one of the most innovative skate videos.
This has such a cool old school vibe Remembers me of stories when skaters entered gardens of their neighbors when these went abroad and shredded their pools the whole week :-)
I believe you're wrong: Lance indeed is trapped in a little backyard pool and only gets permission by Big Lance to interact with us mere humans from time to time in human form, that's how he rips still to this day.
The baby runt goat & I were watching this & I swear to god nothing has got this ones attention more & calmed it down as much as this part! 😂. Great use of the pool man, killer part!!
This is one of the best parts I ever seen. There was feeling to this part. This is the little bit of pure heart skateboarding left in the brand. I can easily say not as a flex but over the 13 years consecutive I’ve been on YT I’ve probably watched between 800-1000 different skate parts/videos. This was EASILY in my top 10. Lance never seems to drop the ball.
Never saw this part before. So amazing. Met lance once when I was 12 in 1997 or so: he was really down to earth. It’s sick seeing him still rip. A part like this has the risk that it wouldn’t work in a modern (mostly street video.) but it works great. So cool to see.
Grew up with the anti TV parents so I'm rediscovering the old skate history I only heard as rumors of as a kid. Lance is quickly becoming my favorite. Every video I see its this reminder to just be yourself and have fun.
31 year old here and wasn’t a big skater myself but followed and learned about it and always found the pioneer days were so good and uniqueness was there not chasing a Meta like today , thanks for being yourself Lance 🫡👏🏻🤙🏻
So sick! LM is one of my all time favs. Ever since seeing my brother's Powell Peralta LM "dough boy" deck as a kid, the dude has continued to be a big inspiration. A truly rad human being
a legend from the beginning and he makes this look extremely easy for him. I loved that gag at the end, I totally thought he actually wrecked and broke his back. Such a mad man, couldn't believe what I was seeing from start to finish!
I never understood all this talk, from Lance himself, about not being as good as many others. Lance has a style and character that is LANCE and nobody else has it in my opinion. I mean sure we all remember multiple things from the BB movies, but one thing that jumps out is him falling off his board and acting like he was having a seizure. My friends and I used to do that shit after we baked and we'd all yell out "LANCE MOUNTAIN SPAZZ" (as in going spastic). The humor Lance brought was an integral part of the Brigade (long live Johnny Joke!). Your tricks and moves to me always painted a picture of "JUST HAVE FUN DAMNIT! BE YOURSELF AND HAVE FUN!" That was just as important a theme as technical precision or anything else. You take anyone out of the Brigade and it wouldn't be the same. To Lance, Stacy Peralta saw something in you even if you might not have. The rest of us see it too. 100% pure bad ass! This was mind-blowing dude. I mean the jump over the ladder and back onto your board! WTF.....NICE!
I love this clip 100%. Always wish there was more footage of Lance over the years. He's riding better than most pro's at his age , still fast and smooth. 🤘 Seen him at a demo in 91' in Kazoo.
That pool has been thrashed like no pool before lance mountain classic perfect execution quite possibly the best pool style I've seen looks like alot of practice
Who said is was heroin? I heard he had a heart attack in his sleep. If that’s the case and he didn’t OD then you should show him some respect and delete that comment. Grosso struggled for years but managed to get it all back and being a recovering addict myself that speaks to me. Either way it blows! RIP GROSSO!
this movie reminds me of when me and my gramma would jump fences in SoCal and skate pools..we would laugh and vert out and have a wonderful time..thank you gramma and extremely sorry too i guess.
The Damned - History of the World (Part 1)... but it sounds odd, definitely not the original, more like a coverversion, or maybe a re-recording or something. I searched the web extensively but couldn't find anything. There is a Japanese band called The Red King who covered this song in the 90's, but it's compelety different from this version.
One thing about Sk8 Rock---If you like the song, good like trying to actually buy it...or even listen to it. Oh, and this video gave me more inspiration than watching a million young skater do the craziest tricks. Lance Mountain has aged like fine wine.
Me too, but today I wanted to listen the song so I put this video on, asking myself your same question one more time after many years. After I saw your comment I did a deep research and I found it! "The Damned - History of the world part.1" is the same but arranged differently in the Lance video. Enjoy the song! Peace & Love

Ok the part where the board went under the ladder and Lance jumped over it was insane!
The hippie jump over the ladder is truly wonderful.
How is that even possible? My little mind can’t grasp the physics.
