fartsnstuf funny thing is back in 2007 when the PS3 was released people were bitching about the price and it being to expensive. Even though the Xbox 360 came up to the same price when you factor in the fact you had to buy the modem and the hard rive to actually store games! And like you highlighted the quality of the product was way under par when compared to the PS3 which came with a large hard drive by those days standards, a built in wireless modem, blue ray and was a much better build quality, funnily enough Kutaragi was also right and the wii was a novelty system!
I remember listening to this song as an 11/12 year old. It actually swayed me into almost buying a 360...I ended up getting a wii (still worth it) but nothing can replace these old timeless classics. Man have times changed. This was 13 years ago!

Calling the 'tables have flipped' simply because the XB1 had bad marketing techniques (such as with the DRM/online only issue) is foolish, that's if you're talking about the next gen consoles. Last gen, the PS3/360 were too close to call at some points. Although the 360 thrashed the PS3 in the beginning years (even with RRoD), the PS3 came back with same great games later on. If this were a race, the 360 would have had a running start (and slowly tapered off at the end), and the PS3 would have had a slow start and then a sprint at the end. I'd call it a tie. If Halo 5 sucks, the XB1 won't stand a chance next gen, and Sony will have it in the bag.

Xbox Series X is actually great console, all it needs now is for Microsoft 1st party developers to really start delivering those 1st party exclusives. Also with 360 as much as ppl may love it (myself included) we cant possibly ignore its RROD/Reliability issues in early years of 7th console gen. My original 360 console broke 3 times and after that 3rd time I just had enough and had to buy new one. Series X is silent, reliable console with great backwards compatibility and that alone made it worth the purchase for me, especially since I never owned Xbox One/One X....so I went straight from 360 to Series X and skipped 8th gen consoles entirely

Man, time sure has flown. Initial reactions like this to the PS3 and Sony's arrogance at the time hot off the heels of the most successful console of all time are likely why they came out fucking swinging and firing on all cylinders with the PS4. They knew it was do or die this time. They've assembled a great team and look to be trying to recapture the magic of PSone and PS2. This is why I'm returning to the platform after growing up with them and migrating to 360 last generation. Funny how Phil Harrison is now involved with the Xbox One, given the reception it's received.
I remember when I was 11 and was looking to upgrade from the Ps2, I'd say this song was actually a genuine influence on my decision to get a 360 instead!

NeovisionX 360 was better from 2005-2008, maybe 2009, but the PS3 was easily the better system after that. As the years went on, 360 got worse and worse, while the PS3 just keeped getting better. No wonder it eventually surpassed the 360's sales.
Listened to this for the first time. I bought (again) PS3 super slim because of nostalgia and urge to replay games, including exclusives, comfortably on the chair, resting on it while playing on TV. But X360 Song is much better. I'm actually tempted to buy X360 aswell, then PS4...And then in few yearrs PS5. What do you think? Is it worth getting X360? Does it have some good exclusives? I only heard about Gears of War, but I am not the biggest fan of future/sci-fi combat games nor RPGs.
Well I mean it does...even if scifi shooters aren't your thing, Gears and Halo are still great and plus there are ofc Forza games, Fable games some JRPGs like Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey, Viva Pinata, Banjo Kazoozie: Nuts & Bolts.... But in all honesty all Xbox 360 exclusives also work on Series X/S and most of them play and/or look better on it, so buying 360 now is something I dont think makes much sense unless you really want to own these old consoles for sake of collecting/retro aspect

They've assembled a great team and look to be trying to recapture the magic of PSone and PS2. This is why I'm returning to the platform after growing up with them and migrating to 360 last generation.

I remember when I was 11 and was looking to upgrade from the Ps2, I'd say this song was actually a genuine influence on my decision to get a 360 instead!

This was a great parody, but I really love that in retrospect it is completely flipped. PS3 ultimately outsold the 360, and both consoles got their "ass kicked by the Wii" (at least in terms of sales).

NeovisionX 360 was better from 2005-2008, maybe 2009, but the PS3 was easily the better system after that. As the years went on, 360 got worse and worse, while the PS3 just keeped getting better. No wonder it eventually surpassed the 360's sales.

Listened to this for the first time. I bought (again) PS3 super slim because of nostalgia and urge to replay games, including exclusives, comfortably on the chair, resting on it while playing on TV.
But X360 Song is much better. I'm actually tempted to buy X360 aswell, then PS4...And then in few yearrs PS5. What do you think? Is it worth getting X360? Does it have some good exclusives? I only heard about Gears of War, but I am not the biggest fan of future/sci-fi combat games nor RPGs.
Well I mean it does...even if scifi shooters aren't your thing, Gears and Halo are still great and plus there are ofc Forza games, Fable games some JRPGs like Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey, Viva Pinata, Banjo Kazoozie: Nuts & Bolts....
But in all honesty all Xbox 360 exclusives also work on Series X/S and most of them play and/or look better on it, so buying 360 now is something I dont think makes much sense unless you really want to own these old consoles for sake of collecting/retro aspect
