4:46 wow, I never knew the "first person" game mode was already present in the PS1. The game looks really smooth as well.
great game that unfortunately not many people know about. I think the gameplay might have inspired PES to make it into the "Become a Legend" mode that exists in PES games

Super Shot Soccer makes the impression of a continuation of the famous "Super Soccer" game for SNES, with those weird superpowers and stuff. Looks like an interesting spin on the genre.
i think fifa 99 is more better than fifa 2005
I remember playing a demo of a soccer game. I think it was for the PS1. You had to use a cursor to aim every pass or shot. I remember it being tricky as hell. I've searched and searched but can't find it. Any ideas?

I wish we had this many options nowadays. I know official teams and players play a big part of a sport game, but game developers could simply add the option of downloading community created clubs, players, faces (it's pretty easy to import somewhat realistic faces ro a character, we have this tech for roughly 2 decades now) etc to tackle the licensing stuff. NBA 2K has such a feature so they don't even have to have the rights of a certain player, all it takes is a dude willing to put up the work.
It's a shame it's either FIFA or PES, with both being quite mediocre for years now.
Of course they COULD easily implement that....but why should they when they can instead make money off of it?
Nothing tops FIFA RTWC 98, It has the most national teams (172 of them) for a PS1 game including my country Philippines. Give me another PS1 football game that has more national teams than FIFA RTWC 98, I bet you can't.
Since when is the definition of the best football game based on the number of teams? I think it's useless if there are hundreds or thousands of teams but the gameplay is bad
