    Mark my words, guys, Ship 26 is the prototype for In Space Propellant Transfer... IN SPACE REFUEL FOR DISTANT TRAVEL, Moon and beyond.
    Why?, simple, HEAT SHIELDS NOT NEEDED. It won't return to earth.

    That nose could be made from a full cone and a truncated cone. Keep the angular change to less than 15 degrees and airflow behaves as if it was a continuous curve. Not having the ever changing curve would make tiling much easier.

    • @ButterfatFarms
      @ButterfatFarms 15 дней назад

      Losing argument. The whole reason Starship's nose cone is as pointy as it is was because Musk wanted it to look cooler. Even if it was and it is arguably somewhat less aerodynamically efficient then the original design that wasn't pointy enough for Musk's liking. It looking cool matters, even at the expense of performance.

    • @ButterfatFarms
      @ButterfatFarms 15 дней назад

      It has to look "right" stylistically. Even if that comes at the expense of aerodynamic performance or manufacturing convenience.

    Most rocket deliverable nuclear weapons are low yield (on the KT level) due to weight or the need to carry multiple independently targeting warheads. Ship 26 is possibly a prototype to carry doomsday level fusion payloads or dozens of MT level independently targeting warheads. If you know America then you know this is not out of the realm of reality.

      Really?!? You think the next strategic ICBM is going to be cryogenically fuelled? Wow. Every ICBM so far is either solid propellant or a shelf stable liquid like UDMH.
      No way they are going to spend decades storing liquid methalox, then spend hours fueling the rocket, then sending the nukes to Russia. We got 45 minutes to respond, fuelling cryo isn't possible.
