    This is the exact quality I was looking for, it doesn’t look so great in low light but there’s nothing a little magic can’t fix

      Right? Totally agree with you! You really can't go wrong with this thing, it's cheap to buy brand new. No other companies right now are producing super budget friendly cameras like Kodak does!

    Great video. I want to stay on Team Canon with a possible next being a Canon IXY series, but their factory seems like it has been on limited production for the longest time which keeps pricing higher. This slim/ compact form factor is the smartphone competitor IMO because you can pocket it without much notice.

    I just need a camera that takes ok pictures quickly without a bunch of shutter lag. Does this do that?

    This isn't made by Kodak. Kodak stopped making cameras in 2012. So it's just a licenced name product.

      Exactly! But apparently it sells because people don't understand that

  • @joeyallard

    Kodak is not making products anymore, they sell under the brand licence name, quality may vary (sorry for my english)

    does it feel like cheap plastic? like the body of the camera? wondering if I should buy one of those or just an older digicam like canon

    • @markfriday
      @markfriday  2 месяца назад

      Hey there! The body is 100% plastic. The build quality isn't the best but one advantage of this is that it makes the camera weighs close to nothing which means you're more likely to bring this camera out with you everyday!

    Are the cameras original Kodak, or are they from those Chinese companies that buy the patents later? and then they even make drills or accessories of all kinds that have nothing to do with the brand..., in fact there are many Kodak products such as batteries, filters, etc. with the logo, but due to the quality and price they raise doubts since they are They are quite poor quality, that's why I didn't know if they had sold the patent or if they are still Kodak for a long time.

    • @WiseGuy02
      @WiseGuy02 Месяц назад +3

      Not made by Kodak. Kodak stopped making cameras in 2012. They've just licensed the name to some Chinese company.

      @@WiseGuy02 It is incredible then that if it does not have internal Kodak technology and is something manufactured by another brand it has the image quality it has, thank goodness

    2/3 sensor with 3.9-6.3 aperture this piece of crap doesn't compare to G7XII

    • @markfriday
      @markfriday  2 месяца назад +17

      Hey, Tony! Thanks for the input! It definitely won't compare to a G7X II of G7X III which both I own and still use often. But there's something to be said about the unavailability of it right now, people have no other options so I'm trying to look for one that at least can do a fraction of what it can do. This camera performs decently in photography but definitely not in videography because of that small sensor. But still usable for beginners and for people who have a small budget. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment! Appreciate it!

    Do you think this is a good option for a child aged 9/10? We are going to be travelling next year and she's asked for an easy digital camera.

      Hi! Yes! I can absolutely recommend this. It's super easy to use, image quality is pretty decent at the same time it doesn't cost much so if your kid accidentally breaks it or loses it, it won't hurt as much haha.

      @@markfriday awesome thank you. This was my thought train too. Something cheap (cheapish, in Australia they're about $200-250), but still decent and easy to use.
