Delays and reductions with payment is a constant. I hate having to finish off something the builders are supposed to have got done. Happens all the time. Thanks for uploading.
This the problem with the decorating trade rather than stick together and say no and walk away to the low prices you always get people who do it for next to nothing so prices are forced down cos some idiot takes it on,you don’t see any other trade being taken the piss out of like painters and decorators on site, when painters are the key to everything and probably got the most time consuming and labour intensive work so I’d rather stay in bed or go work in tescos or drive a bus than do a 2 bed new work for £900 can’t see how you can do that all in 4 days you must be doing some crazy long days that will bring down your hourly rate even further,3 coats on everything plus all the caulking filling rubbing down taping up drying times ,even spraying it they can go do one for that money I wouldn’t even get a brush out for that unless was in the 3k minimum mark and id still be wary and I’ve walked away many a times when they come out with £1800 If they got no one they soon will up the price believe you me and that’s why site work is shit money and always will be
Couldn’t agree more I’ve been a decorator 32 years and earned more doing a living room and dining room in a private house Piss take what they give it’s slave labour
Mark there raking the piss you do you graft and they pull your pants gown better off on The books that's what I did towards. The end. When your subbing supply your own kit petrol sort out receipts ect not worth it Mark. All the best candleman don't let the footers grind you down mate😊
2 bed house fully decorated £984? that’s shit mate, don’t know how you even did that in 4 and half days? I’d want two weeks to do that, and a lot more dosh.
I would be straight round to see the site agent or manager about all the patching. I am a stickler about not doing anything more than a fifty pence size as well as repeating poor plaster finishing. The way I see it is if you don't complain and refuse to do it more fool you (the painter). It's bad enough now with caulking pre finished frames as the gaps are so wide compared to the traditional on site made frames. If all quality is lost until the end game. It is the end.
The problems you've got with this company sound to stressful you've got enough on your plate just doing the work get out of there as soon as possible ; your a hard worker you don't need this shit .goodluck😊😊😊😊😊😢
