btw my fingernails look like that because when i was building my paludarium i didn’t wear gloves and got expandable foam all over my hands lol.. it’s been a couple days and it’s still stuck on 😭
That's so sweet of them to send you a Magiya! That's another one of their hybrids, Baik x Darthvaderiana. It's named after the two that were caring for it, Maggie, one of the employees that you had her insta in the video I believe, and Anya, the owner.
It's free advertising for them, nothing more...they're taking advantage of a RUclips channel that has a lot of subscribers...someone that has a channel all about plants, yet knows not a lot about plants 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
@@tude17 There are over 10,000 plant genera out there, all with different care requirements. I’m not familiar with the Begonia genus, but i’m exploring different plant genera which I discuss in the video. I’m not afraid to admit that I lack knowledge in a certain topic. We’re all learning!
omg...those are SOSOSO precious and extremely massively expensive begonias...years of wishlist plants for me...almost crying at the casual way they just sent all those for free...
I love these. Begonias are so underrated. While everyone is vying for albo monsteras and philodendrons, begonias are so much more colorful and compact. Much easier to grow imo.
@@sierra734 they need high humidity, bright bright light, airy potting soil (more leaf compost). The brighter the light (most of them), they will thrive more. I water them everyday, getting direct sun like 3 hrs a day, here in Jakarta though.
Aww, how sweet! I look forward to seeing what you do with these beauties. I’ve not ordered any begonias from Botanicaz but the aroids I’ve ordered from them have been very healthy. They’re a great company.
Fun unboxing video. Have trouble pronouncing names of plants too. Great selection of plants from Botanicaz, never realized begonias can look so cool and different.
Another wonderful video! It's so funny to see begonias making a come-back! Begonias were SO popular in Canada in the mid 80's, my mother's garden was FULL of them. Every time I think about the 80's it's like: glass bricks, mullets, yellow sunglasses, and begonias!
That shirt is chefs kiss 🤌🏻 I also loooove begonias but I struggle so much with them. Would you be willing to do a begonia care video maybe once you’ve cared for these ones?! Botanicaz is so incredible👏🏻❤️
It's my first time seeing such beautiful and unique plants, I'm in love with the Begonia Darthvaderianas so beautiful with their red leaves and I want to raise my own Begonia now 🥺🥺🥺
I've been getting into begonias and smaller orchids lately, and its like the more you learn the more you realize how little you know, there are like 2000 begonia species, and I have no idea how many orchid thousands of orchid species.
So I would like to say that your plants are so beyond loved, I love how you present your videos, and narrate them. I love plants as well. I also am a Aquarist. I have 10 active planted tanks. All have terrestrial houseplants that I keep in them. They have symbionic relationships with my aquatic creatures. Like my golden pothos is growing and thriving completely submerged, it has finally breached the water surface. The plant helps scape my frog tank. It offers them strong leafs to rest on that my snails and shrimp will not eat the plant, unless the leaf starts to die back. Then it's game on for them. This plant has stable roots in the flooring of the tank. I am always looking for tropical bog like plants that love water. One of moss videos made in my feed. I clicked and watched. You made a moss ball plant thing. I am very sorry I can not remember the name of the ball. Thank you for sharing. Not easy caring for plants, going to school, and having a channel. Awesome work young man💕
✨💫i love your reflection of how new plants inspire us to admire their uniqueness and individuality😇i also often feel this way when i collect new plants because it reminds me of how big and complicated the world is and reminds us to be more mindful and grateful😇blessings to you!!! ✨✨✨
I super love all the begonias! I can't wait to see what you are working on. Please make sure you document what you are doing coz Im really interested in making one myself.
I have been getting more into begonias and small orchids, and both are kind of amazing. We think of them like grandma's plants, only they get pretty wild and exotic.
@@notverynotoriousg5674 I never really saw them like that really and as I got into plants I learned that they can look so incredibly different from one another. They truly are beautiful plants, I just don't like some of the leaf shapes and the feel of the leaves.
@@ArthurGrey. yeah, i get you, but they are a lot of them that aren't what you would think of as "begonia". I have luxurians and venosa on my shopping list for spring, I need to stop buying plants, lol. luxurians has really nice palmate leaves and venosa looks more like a succulent.

I so enjoy all of your videos and this one is especially of interest. I’ve had a love/ hate relationship with Begonias for about 2 years- I love them, but that feeling is not reciprocated much. I’ve bought humidifiers, grow- lights and have done tons of research then followed the suggestions to a tee- they still dislike me. I would love if you could do a follow up video at some point with your knowledge on how to keep them happy. I haven’t been able to make or purchase a greenhouse yet, except for the humidifiers in my room where they’re kept, but any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated if you decide to do such a video. Thank you so much for your channel, I always look forward to watching.
I probably don't know more than you, since I haven't done much research on begonias- But I do know these plants are supposed to be very easy to take care of. Which makes me think maybe it's simply the area you live in isn't fit for begonias? I recently watched a video on calathea, and the man in it was talking about how it's really hard to take care of plants that like humidity in very dry climates. Personally, I can't grow a ton of flowers because the area I live in gets super hot and sunny. But there are always solutions to these things. :)

Wow that's a shitload of plants you unpacked there bro! I just really got into plants during the pandemic. There's so much I want but I never knew plants can cost so much. My current want is the pink princess. BTW Benji is so fucking adorable that it's almost distracting. 🤘🏾⚧
same.. i’ve never been very interested in begonias until recently. some of them are rlly unique and stand out a lot from ur typical begonia. there’s also the fact that they flower sometimes which is an added bonus
Did you by any chance record the process of the build for future video? Because i would love to see that. If not, i hope you record the process of planting these begonia in your paludarium. Anyway good content as always 👍
As someone who has purchased multiple darth vader hybrid varieties watching him just shelf them during the video gave me so much anxiety. The magiya and botanicaz 1, i got after less than 2 hours of unpacking were on the edge of death in my house while I was getting the terrarium setup because I wasn't expecting to get them shipped yet with a cold hold on them.
tbh it’s pretty easy, place cuttings on top of moss, keep the moss moist but not too wet (don’t let water pool on the bottom). then out something over the string of hearts and moss to keep humidity up, clear plastic bag, clear tub, etc. and roots will form in no time
I love begonias so much, but in my dry climate they just shrivel up and die :( One day when I have the space, I'd like to make a little indoor greenhouse just for begonias.
