Great review. Thank you for watching and reviewing this film. As you correctly said, it's really important, although a difficult watch. But for Indians, who know the story very well, we knew what was coming (no real spoilers here). I have a minor nitpick or comment on one thing you said - Sardar Udham wasn't radicalized after the massacre. Radicalization implies taking an extreme position. I'd suggest that what he did was simple justice, in the absence of it from colonial rulers (throughout their history of invading and exploiting and looting).
You’re absolutely right…I could’ve used a better word there. Maybe what I should’ve said was “spurned into action” or something like that. I appreciate it though - it was certainly eye opening for me. I knew that India was part of the British Empire for a long time, but really had no inkling of the oppression that went on.
@@order42show Understood, because history is written by the winners, and also rarely taught properly, even here, forget about the rest of the world where they didn't care at all. Punjabi Sikh revolutionary. ? No....He was "Indian Revolutionary"
I apologize if that’s incorrect - I actually got that description from IMDb.
@@order42show It's not incorrect, the comment is trying to tell that he is the revolutionary of us as whole country. We all love him.
Sir, Drishyam 1 and Drishyam 2 (Malayalam language) Story will shake you to cor
Thanks - looking forward to seeing them!
Vicky is an amazing actor, you must watch Uri the surgical strike. A true story ❤
Thank you - got it on the list!
Review gangs of wasseypur part 1 and 2. Martin Scorsese wrote a letter to the director of the movie praising it
I watched the trailer for it and definitely am looking forward to it! It is trailing behind some other movies (I count comments as “votes”), but I’ll get to it!
I think Gangs of wasseypur movies become 10x better if you know Hindi. The dialogues in those movies are so hilarious and well written! I mean how do you translate something like "Keh ke lunga" and the emotion behind the line "beta, tumse na ho payega" in English?
I’m still excited to give it a shot. Hopefully soon!
Dil se, Don starting Amitabh bachan .
Thanks - it’s on the list!
Watch "October" from Shoojit Sircar its beautiful 💗
Hadn’t heard that one yet - got it on the list!
Thanks and appreciate your taking the time to watch this wonderful film and giving your unbiased opinions on the film .. It is a hard film to watch for any person but the truth must be told about the colonial brutality of the British Raj in India for 200 years. Best wishes and regards from an Indian dude domiciled in Hong Kong. 🙏💖
Thanks so much!
I am so glad you talked about viky he is very good actor and pls review uri movie raman raghav 2.0
Thanks - got it on the list!
You should react to a shot documentary which is just released on the history of India
SAHEB WHO NEVER LEFT by Prachyam
It will give you many info which you would have never thought of
Thanks - never heard of that one, so put it on the list!
@@order42show hmm this is reality check which is shown in that documentary
Great review….just a thought..in reviews of this movie,it’s often pointed out that the difference between a terrorist and hero is perspective. But that’s only true if the difference of opinion is between independent countries. When a country occupies another 6000 miles away, without provocation for 250 years with the sole purpose of looting, pillaging and exploitation,it is not up for debate.A targeted assassination of a colonizer employed criminal terrorist ( lets not forget who killed thousands of innocent civilians here,it wasn’t Sardar Udham- isn’t that the definition of a terrorist.)where he cannot be brought to justice is not an act of a terrorist. That’s a freedom fighter. If not and these nuances don’t matter, colonizer countries today will have to be declared terrorist states by the half of the world that was occupied by them and whose resources they enjoy today.
You’re absolutely right - couldn’t say it any better.
for me Sardar Udham was the movie of the year for India, and oscar worthy film
It really was fantastic. So glad that so many people asked me to check it out!
I don't understand , why people in the first world countries, especially English speaking countries, why don't they read books .
Moreover , can movies help us understand other cultures , the simple answer is no .The same way ,you can never cross the ocean standing on the side of the shore.......
Is this in response to something I’d said? I will say that here in the US, our education is very limited and ego driven. A sort of “if it doesn’t affect us…” attitude.
I know people who actually pride themselves on not reading books, purposely insulating themselves from other viewpoints. And while I agree that you can’t learn everything from watching a movie, it can be a first step!
@@order42show While no system is perfect, but, American elementary education system is far better than others , especially ours .
However , when Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s chief of staff Saikat Chakrabarti came under fire for wearing a t-shirt featuring Subhas Chandra Bose , arise curiosity .
If I'm not mistaken, during the 17th and early 18th centuries ,the British colonize America .....
@@order42show you are very humble, please excuse me for him
Hello sir, love your reviews.
Opinion: if possible you could do reactions to movies like highlighting it will be really fun. I would love to watch your reaction to films. Please think about it 🥰😁
I’ve thought about it…but, it’s the same reason why I don’t do reactions to trailers (as some have requested). The reason is…I usually don’t emote at all! It would literally be me just staring at the screen! It’s very rare for a movie to get a reaction out of me - and when it does, it’s such a surprise that I wouldn’t have even thought to record it! For example…there’s nothing in the world that could have prepared me for my reaction to RRR - the whole thing was just unexpected! And Sardar Udham…it probably would’ve just been me sighing a lot…I was getting so irritated at the British!
You may be onto something though - if I can invest in a separate camera that I could remotely operate, that could be interesting…
I really appreciate the kind words though, it means a lot!
Watch andhadhun first
Well, it’s on the list, but there are a few movies that have had many more requests. But hopefully soon!
Both 3 idiots and Dirshyam 1 and 2 are top choices. Better go for Drishyam 1 and 2 (malayalam version) It is the original film which were remade into other languages.
Drishyam
Cast: Mohanal and meena
Dir: Jeetu joseph
Oh, absolutely - I have the Malayalam version notated on my list (I always try to seek out the original language version). Thanks!
I like your reviews. I am impressed by the selections so far. And, I can feel your burden, getting so many suggestions. So, I will not recommend furthermore. I would like to just rank the suggestions you have got,as per my experience, so may it be easier for you🙂.
1) 3 idiots, its a feel good movie with comedy and flood of emotions.
2) Drishyam, a good crime drama.
3) Munna Bhai MBBS, its somewhat similar to 3 idiots, directed by same person.
4) Andhadhun, a good crime thriller.
5) Ratsasan, murder mystery with serial killer horror vibes.
6) Magadheera, I would just name the director: SS Rajamouli.
7) Nannaku Prematho, this one you may not have heard, but if you liked all of the above, try to check this one too. It features one of the leads of RRR as main protagonist. Sort of a intellectual movie with family drama.
All these movies were fun for me. I just made the list so that you could more easily pick best movies from Different genres. By the way, which genre is your favourite?
Thanks so much! For which movies I pick to review - it’s all just from the comments! I keep track and have each comment as a “vote” for the next one to review, so my selections are just from the viewers! Believe it or not, I’ve got all of these on the list, but have added a vote for each one for you.
As far as genre…I honestly don’t really have a favorite. A good movie is a good movie, no matter the genre. That might sound like a cop out, but it really isn’t - I’ve got favorites in every genre!
@@order42show Cool🤜🤘🤟
Dershyam 1 is good but 2 is average film. Better go for tharee zameen par
Got them both on the list, so - why not both?
+1 for Drishyam 1 and Tare Zameen Par. Also Tumbadd is really good.
really?? Drishyam 2 is an average film?🤔
I really enjoyed both!
Ohh you are soo sweet addressing your audience...please don't carry away by some salty comments buddy...RUclips is a view game and as soon as you enjoy it you have got every right do so...btw just loved the reviews...keep up the good work👍
Haha, thanks! I just want to do my due diligence! I guess I’ve been lucky up to this point, not too many salty or mean comments. I guess as the channel keeps growing, I’ll just have to deal with it! But thank you again for all the kind words!
Watch three idiots you will love it
Very much looking forward to it!

Watch Haider - an excellent Hindi film. Probably one of the best movies of the last decade to come out of India, I know I've recommended a ton of movies all over the internetz but I'd pick this if I had to pick one movie to recommend.

@@order42show Yes definitely watch it, it's an adaption of Hamlet, and according to Hamlet fans, it's the best adaption yet...
