    Yes, my spouse and I caught 'The War of the Rohirrim' on Sunday afternoon. I liked it, even liked it a lot, but didn't quite love it. I do think that the rushed production schedule hurt the film and that a bit more polish would have helped the screenplay. No, I don't see the movie making back its budget at the box office. But I'd guess that it will show a profit once it reaches streaming and home video.

      Yeah, that’s pretty much how I felt. It wasn’t offensive to me the way Rings of Power was…but it’s hard not to feel a bit of cynicism about it considering how the budget seemed to be utilized and that it might’ve just been put out there to retain the rights…

      You know, my brother actually said the same thing, and maybe I’m misremembering, but…the only place where I felt her “power” was a bit out of place was in the fight against Wulf near the end. Every other time she was overpowered by her foe and through circumstance was able to win, and even through that last Wulf fight, it still seemed that she got lucky. So, I guess if that makes her a Mary Sue…and the thing is, if it didn’t work for you, that’s a valid opinion. I just think there are MUCH worse examples out there than this.

      @@order42show How Hama died, how Haleth died, how Helm died, how Freca died, how Wulf died. Some of these have small changes which I could ignore, some have big changes (like Helm, who's death was really dumb in the movie), and some are huge (like Wulf who died in Edoras by Frealaf) Frealaf was never banished by the king, he escaped with some men after the first battle was lost, and after the winter, he attacked Edoras and took it back from Wulf, killing him, and that is why he was the king at the end, not because "Hera" let him be king. Oh and of course, he didn't go to Helm's Deep to break the siege. Shieldmaidens were not a thing in Rohan. In the books Eowyn was not A shieldmaiden, she was THE shieldmaiden. So Olwyn shouldn't even exist. After the winter and Frealaf taking back Edoras, Gondor sent armies to help drive the remaining Dunlendings out of Rohan, they couldn't come earlier because they had a war at their southern shores. Now for some of the things that if had actually happened, they would be part of Tolkien's notes. Oliphaunts, great eagles and a watcher in the water type monsters, yeah they would probably be mentioned. And to adress the mumakil in the room, the entirety of Hera's actions. Yeah she existed in the book but she did so much nothing that she wasn't even given a name. If you know one thing about Tolkien is that he really loves giving names. To put it to perspective, even Frealaf's mother and Helm's sister had a name in the books (Hild) and she didn't do anything. Now I understand that if the movie was 100% like the books she would still need a name (though maybe they could pick a better one) and some POV from her would be interesting. But to think that she would have done all of that and nothing would be mentioned is crazy.

      Well, that’s hard to answer. First…it doesn’t really affect anything in The Hobbit or The Lord of the Rings as far as the movies go…BUT, the changes made in those movies from the books probably would NOT be strictly considered canon by Tolkien himself. Again, considering the story he wrote was only 2 1/2 pages in the appendices, they stretched the story further than I expected, but if you want strictly canon…that only comes from the books.

    Looks like the movie was animated on 3s at best instead of on 2s like most cartoons are. Don't know what that means? Well then you can go straight to hell because you should JUST KNOW! Basically it means every 3rd film frame has a new drawing, so it's effectively about 9 frames per second. Maybe less. Anime fans generally don't care much about fluidity so they can get away with it. Plus those Spiderman Miles Morales movies are super low-fps and people loved that nonsense so now everyone wants that crappy look.

German is in Europe continent and we Indian thinks European countries and American continent have some cultural similarity same like asian continent and African countries have. Well, the thing is - I’ve taken an extended hiatus from reviewing Indian movies in general. The only one from this year that I’m interested in seeing is “Kill”, just because it seems to be doing something different. It doesn’t mean that I’ll never watch another one, but like this last weekend, Pushpa 2 came out with huge box office numbers and…I didn’t really care for the first one! Most of the movies, I’m just not part of the target audience, so they’re just not the kind of movies I want to see.

      @order42show Ok every reviewer has own way and ethics about works. Kill is good one and many Americans reviewer also loved this movie and not only that I realised about 'kill' it was loved by those movie reviewer from whom normally don't interested in Indian movies they are also kill movie John wick director also hired right of 'kill' movie to remake in Hollywood

      @Dev-c2y 2 дня назад

      @@order42show you mentioned pushpa,but on the basis of box office numbers we are not judge any Indian movie (don't take wrong way about my opinion) but this is reality only about Indian movies because Indian movies divided into many movies industries. When hindi belt audience or Hindi language audience accept any movies that movie can earn good number but that numbers are also not like number of other countries' movie industry in their own domestic market because now we can get examples of pushpa, pushpa movie is south Indian Telugu movie but south India have 5 to 6 defferent movie industries and pushpa can't get success in other South Indian state at that level which potential have in that state because every movie industry has their own fan base. INDIAN domestic box office market sales more than 3 billion tickets in every year and this number are the highest ticket sales number in the world but no one single movie can compare with hollywood or Chinese movies on the basis of box office number in the world cinema; Indian audience are divided because of diversity Of language and movie industries There we can't say every good content movie can get success in box office e.g. before 2015 Hindi language belt don't watch south Indian movies in theatre therefore that movie couldn't success like now therefore movies like 'I movie', 'eaga movie' don't get box office in north India Indian movies faces some problem about Box office collections in domestic market as well as overseas markets . Therefore when International magazine published list of world famous actor and highest earners actor in the world then Indian actors also get position in that list not only that shaharuk khan, Amir Khan, Akshay Kumar took position in top ten list in many times but Indian movies can't take position in highest earners movies the world's list

    • @order42show
      @order42show 2 дня назад

      Well, like I’ve said before…so many Indian movies are very targeted at the Indian people, which is fine, but I would say if they want a bigger audience (or more box office), ANY of the industries should widen their target. Not only did I find many I watched hard to understand, I got fierce criticism when I mentioned it.

    • @Dev-c2y
      @Dev-c2y День назад

      @@order42show About Indian domestic market it is not easy to target audiences of other states's people because every region's people are emotionally stick with their own movie industry.They don't easily accept movies from other Indian movie industry. E. g. If we take example of two movies '3 idiot' and 'pk' that movie became popular in turkey, south Korea countries which both countries normally are not interested about Indian movies and because of those movies Amir Khan has big fan following in turkey. Which situation happened for RRR in America the same situation happened for 3 idiots in Korea means when RRR released in America only Indian audience whose live in America watch that movie and when RRR over to run in American theatre then that movie became popular in America the same think happened about 3 idiots in Korea. When 3 idiots watched by those Indian people whose live in South Korea and movie was run over then that movie became popular in South Korea. Only different is RRR became popular in America because of Netflix and three idiots became popular in South Korea because that movie show in every college and University by projector because theere professors students love that movie and then that movie goes viral. PK and three idiot watched and became popular in those countries who normally don't interested about Indian movies but those both movies can't accept by south indian audience and when south Indian director remake these movies then these remakes became hit in South India. (And this is only one example but not other single north Indian original movie easily accept by south indian audience but their remake became popular in those religions) This is one reason about domestic market affect on box office collection. Some other domestic market reason also Second Reson (about domestic market): effects on box office collection like India is developing country therefore here ticket price rate are not like developed countries Third Reason (about domestic market): people compare movies box office number in dollars with Hollywood movie or in yuan with Chinese movies but every currency have different valuation in international markets and every currency have important value in their own market or country therefore we should understand this

    This Netflix documentary was very well filmed. I actually enjoyed it more than the actual 2007 movie.😀 In my opinion, the Zodiac killer wasn't just one person. That's why the evidence never matched. The Vallejo area at the time was a center of drug dealing and gangs. If you wanted to join a gang, you had to show your loyalty, devotion and cold-bloodedness. How? Maybe to kill someone or a couple. Richard Lee Hoffman, Arthur Leigh Allen, Richard Joseph Gaikowski knew each other and they knew some of the victims. Also, there were rumors that Gaikowski was involved in so called "snuff films" and Darlene Ferrin (before she was killed) witnessed a person she knew killing someone and this person was stalking her after that. What if one person was writing those letters, the other one committed the first murder, the other one the second murder, the other one was covering up the evidence and getting the info from the police (most likely a cop like Hoffman) etc. and all of them knew each other? Those murders looked like ritual murders, not murders done by a real serial killer who really enjoys it and can't stop.

      Yeah, I feel like it really points to multiple people, too. And I don’t remember those other names, but it has been a while since I REALLY dug into everything. @@order42show It's funny how each of those many suspects could really be the real Zodiac. They were all acting weird and suspicious and all of them were in the area at the time. On December 20, 1968, when the Zodiac killed those two teenagers, there actually were a lot of witnesses around. Another young couple was at the same location about an hour before the murders, sitting in a car at a lover's lane. These two were originally alone when a blue car, possibly a Valiant (or a light-colored Chevy), suddenly stopped and backed up towards them. They didn't like it at all and pulled out of the turn-off. The blue car was following them for a while and then disappeared. According to the report, there were 2 white males in the blue car. The driver had a crew cut and glasses which would be the same appearance like the cabbie killer sketch. The 1968 survivor Michael Mageau and the 1969 victim Cecelia Ann Shepard described the Zodiac as heavyset, 200 pounds, 5'8''- 5'11'', curly hair, light brown almost blond. In the 60s, Arthur Leigh Allen was already almost bald and really overweight (according to his driver's license: 250lbs).

    As someone who has also done hours of research on this case, I am 100% positive that *Arthur Liegh Allen was not the Zodiac.* Yes there is circumstancial evidence against him, but the hard evidence like DNA samples, finger prints, palm prints, hand writing analysis and witness descriptions all exonerate ALA. If there was _any_ evidence it was him, San Francisco PD would have arrested him in the 70's. He was SFPD's prime suspect, and they investigated him with the full power of the entire state of California behind them, and the FBI, from every possible angle multiple times, and still found nothing. It wasn't him. When I first saw the David Fincher Zodiac film, I loved the film and also became obsessed with this case. Like you, I spent hours reading everything I could find for more information, which is how I came to find Graysmiths theory was full of circumstantial evidence and confirmation bias. So when I saw the Netflix documentary and saw it focused on ALA, I decided to skip it. It wasn't worth the 3 hour investment into a suspect who has been cleared for 50 years. Instead I decided to check online and see if it offers any new information, which is how I found your video and channel here. Having said that, and having clarified that I have not watched the Netflix documentary, I still feel comfortable enough in saying that I really don't care what the Seawater family has to say. 😆 I believe they are lying for attention and maybe a couple thousand dollars pay cheque from Netflix. Because if they aren't lying, why didn't they come forward *any time in the last 50 years?* 😡 Why not take that information to detectives decades ago when it might have made a significant difference in solving the case? It's not like they only heard about the Zodiac last year. It's the most famous cold case of all time, with consistent media reporting, and a high profile book with a movie adaptation released in the decades since the crimes. 🙄

    • @order42show
      @order42show 13 дней назад

      Absolutely valid. I also suspect that it's why in the series they didn't release the results of the blood on the knife. But yeah, I just don't get it. Like...why did ALA WANT to be known as the Zodiac? Was it because he knew the Zodiac and was covering for him? Was he just lonely and sad and loved the attention? Who actually WAS the Zodiac then? So many questions left... I just want to know what the truth is. I haven't looked into this stuff in a long time now, so I don't know what to believe anymore.

I'm searching a edit with two movies and the ideas that the filmmakers had before the three movie idea. I haven't seen it but i feel it has this feeling except for the eagles. If i could make an edit i would like to make two edits. One dedicated to the things i like about the films (4 hours) and the second edit consisting of two movies of the og ideas (the two movies 3 hours). I would not like to make a book edit because there are edits that do that already.

    • @order42show

      I think the trick is to just get in there and do the thing. If I were to do this, I would just lay all the footage on the timeline and start trimming away. I'd figure out how I'd want to split it (if at all) based on what's left after the trims. But I'm sure others probably watched it a lot and took notes on what they wanted to cut out, and I just don't have the patience for that kind of work. The eagles are some of my favorite things about the books/movies/cartoons. I think it all started with that original cover of The Hobbit I read showing the company in the eagles' nest talking to the Great Eagle.

    • @order42show
      @order42show 14 дней назад

      No, Covenant was not really well-received, critically and from the box-office. Covenant made $240M worldwide on a $97M budget. My guess is that after promotional costs (which had to be high for such a high profile release) and paying the theaters, they probably didn’t break even during the run. It’s not really up to Ridley - the studios pay for the movie, so if they don’t think it makes sense financially, they don’t greenlight it. My guess is that from Prometheus to Covenant, they saw a 40% drop in revenue and thought…this just isn’t worth the gamble.

    Late to this video but got to say, I think Vangelis made a great *album* (probably his most sophisticated album of all) but an absolutely terrible *film score*. It doesn't match what's on screen at all and actively hinders the action, and if you pay attention you can hear where the makers have had to substitute someone else's music or awkwardly shoe in cues originally intended for somewhere else. It's hard to tell whether this is all because of the rush to release (and I think it's this one where Vangelis delivered the score extremely late), but it's problematic.

      @order42show it's possible. There are some really odd moments where the score is tripping all over the place. But I think the movie, while noble, is overall a bit of a mess. It's Scott slowing down because a shot is pretty rather than because it does anything (eg the woodcutter ants), etc. Shame because the cast is absolutely top notch.

    It feels like the tone randomly shifts after act 2. As if the story had to be changed due to a sudden cutting of the budget or episode numbers. It was still good but there were so many plot points that seem to just end. they never figure out what to do about the "wild runes" they just find more ways to break physics with no more catch, it was implied Viktor wasnt actually healing people but killing them and replacing their bodies with empty husks but then it turns out it was all real? then of course there was warwick becoming another drone instead of full wolf and viktor's final form low key coming out of nowhere (when did he get his old laser arm from season 1 back?). Then Ambessa who up until act 3 had a pretty solid plan and path to said plan to weaponize hextech suddenly fighting a war so that her soldiers will become part of Viktor's cult?

    • @order42show
      @order42show 16 дней назад

      Yeah, it feels like they decided to end the series at some point after production already began. One of the things I loved about S1 was the blending of different styles of animation, which probably added to the production time. There was a lot fewer of those scenes in S2 as well. It’s really the story that suffered the most, though.
