You are right Bleu. I finished school last May and have been putting off diving into study because I know how much work is required. I am still wanting to push forward. I haven't given up. I just have to get off my butt and get the work done. I have to motivate myself.

I've done exactly what you advised to do and have kept my decision to go back to school and pursue my certification, a very guarded secret from anyone I work with including management. It was so nice to feel that validation. Making moves in silence is always the best advice. At the end of the day you have to take care of yourself. Thank you for all of your guidance ❤

Just finished my Medical Assisting certification and realized I can't do clinical assisting like I wanted to and now switching to clerical. I am in a billing and coding program through AAPC and I'm so frustrated. Just going through the billing program right now and I seriously have no idea how any of this works in the real world. How would I know I needed a guideline to go with my code? I just feel like there is so much information that I could easily make a mistake. Help!

How about you don't worry about the real world and just focus on learning, the rest will come later. It's a lot. Learning this is a lot. It's not for the weak for sure. This is why I stress in a lot of my videos to study 20 hours per week. You're not going to get it at first but you will start to get it the more you put yourself in it. Are you doing my Medical Coder Challenge 2024 of reading the 2025 icd-10-cm coding guidelines 4 times this month? If you haven't started, get on it. Until you start doing the having lifting and working through the books even when you're confused, you're always going to be confused and frustrated.
      Good luck to you.
