I’d love to hear if anyone has tried this line and if so…..what are your favorites? I highly recommend this house if you are looking for clean, environmentally friendly and hypoallergenic fragrances that smell great!
Wonderful review Chris - this is definitely an interesting house. I first got their discovery set before I got into the niche perfume world so I only liked Torn and Fog, and found all other scents off-putting almost. But after quarantine and smelling countless perfumes my taste really changed and I’ve grown to like every single scent they have. The only problem here seems to be the performance on some of these - I really wanted to buy a full bottle of Fog or Last Light and use it as my office scent but it has zero lasting power on me. 🥲 Torn, Queens & Monster and Dark is Night lasts very long on me but are almost too strong to my nose to be an every day scent. But anyway I think this house deserves more recognition and I am very glad it’s YOU that’s doing the ( very first ?? ) full house review on RUclips.
Totally agree with you on Queens and Monsters. I bought it a week ago and absolutely love it! Some reviewers say they wish the longevity was better, but it lasts all day on me. I like how it evolves through the day.
Queens and Monsters is my all time favorite. It’s classy, timeless, and so sexy. Daytime and nighttime appropriate IMO. The compliments I get endless. Men love this fragrance! You’re the first youtube I’ve found feature this house and it’s so surprising. They’re underrated and that means you won’t smell it on everyone. I’m sure that will change soon.
I love Henry Rose!! Last Light, Torn, and Jake’s House are my favs, Torn is up there too! Glad you got into this house, more people need to know about these scents!! 💛

I have Q&M, Torn, and a few of the sample fragrances left over. I was smelling along with you because it’s fascinating how you’re able to pick up on the nuances. To me Fog reminds me of the typical water/rain perfumes. I still think it’s smell is more refined, and worth the money. The only brand I have is Henry Rose because of the ingredients, and the subtlety doesn’t give me a migraine. Great for people who are sensitive to scents like me.

Hey Chris! I know I’m late to the party but I got the sample set from Henry Rose and am really loving exploring their fragrances. Right now I’m wearing Torn which I really love. My skin is really amping the dry woodiness and the effect reminds me of hiking in the mountains in Colorado during the summer and the smell of the sun baking those piles of dead wood that they cut down for fire protection. I’m loving it because it brings back so many good memories.
I'd heard about this house a while back and LOVE that it's Michelle Pfeifer!! How cool. The bottles look sleek also. Sounds worth checking out. 👍 I enjoy hearing about houses that don't get a lot of hype on RUclips!
Queens and Monsters is also my favorite and I purchased a full bottle. Q&M reminds me of Tom Ford Santal Blush but softer. You did an amazing job breaking down each fragrance from the discovery set ☺️. I’ve tried them all except Smyth.
Great reviews! Dark is Night was my first full bottle purchase and it really is gorgeous. I love it for the cooler weather. That was before Queens and Monsters even existed. I of course ordered a second sample set to get my nose on Queens and Monsters and it did not disappoint. I’m getting a full bottle of Q&M soon! I’m actually wearing it today. I love the petitgrain note so much. All the others, while lovely, don’t have enough longevity to be FB worthy, IMO.

Hi, I tried this line and was impressed. Last light, with the peach/patch undertones was my favorite - fresh and warm at the same time. Dry down was classy. Queens and Monsters is my next pick, but I have Blanche Bete by Liquides Imaginaires, so I already have a milky woody floral. The Dark is Night reminds me of Black Jade for some reason which I already own and I quite prefer. I would say I love Last Light and to me it is quite unique.

I have a full bottle of Jake's House and roller balls of Q&M and Smyth. Since there is something in D&G's Light Blue that is very off-putting to me (I'm pretty sure it's the type of cedar they use), I find layering Smyth with any citrus-heavy scent gives me Light Blue vibes but in a way I actually can tolerate. So I find it to be a cruelty free dupe (my collection is 90%+ cruelty free, I just can't live with the guilt!). Bravo on another winning video, pretty lady!

Have you ever tried maison Louise Marie at Sephora? #4 is really close to Santal 33- so maybe dodge that one since you have the OG. But I love #9 and #11. They’re in the clean section on the website. Very humble, earthy, approachable scents. Surprisingly long lasting. That shirt is beautiful on you!

I knew I had heard of Last Light, so I looked through all my notes and I found it in a list I had compiled of all the fragrances I’d ever heard compared to Not a Perfume by Juliette has a gun. Not sure if it actually does smell similar, I’ve never gotten a sample 🙂
Hi Tammy! So sweet of you to stop by! In my opinion JHAG NAP doesn’t smell like Last Light. I think they are very different. I definitely smell peach, patchouli and musk in Last Light and I don’t get any of those notes in NAP…….just my two cents. 😉❤️

Faves are Torn, Fog, Jakes House. There’s other newly released I haven’t tried yet. But my top grab is Torn and Fog. Fog is awesome to wear on a fall time rainy days. They get more pronounced. Not so much in the summer. I’m intrigued with Queens and Monsters and Windows Down.
I ordered the full collection set to try. I've been searching for 😊 forever. I'm one that has to stick with a scent as I can't wear a lot of different ones. I loved another brand called Glossier, but found it didn't last. I LOVE the Smythe but with just a sample, I can't tell if it is a lasting scent? I do love Last Light, but I feel it's a Fall Winter scent. Some people say I shouldn't smell it, but others can, and that's your scent. I don't know if that's true? I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed if Smythe fades out fast?. It's truly my favorite and blends nicely with my skin. Just hate to spend so much for me to have to spray on a lot to make it last. Thanks!!
Hi Irene!! Yes it was new for me also. I heard about them a couple years ago but Glad I finally Followed through and purchased the discovery sets. Well worth exploring them particularly if you are looking for a clean fragrance or a clean fragrance house. 😉❤️

Mysore sandalwood which is native to parts of India) ) became extremely endangered so it’s use in fragrances diminished significantly. Thus the turning towards more sandalwood aroma chemicals . Australia now produces most of the sandalwood species used in fragrances (I believe ) but it is still carefully managed. 😉❤️
Have you noticed any of these smelling like off bug spray? Idk if I got a bad batch but other than the char, torn, smith and last light, all the others smell like bug spray.
Oh well….no. I guess you are including Queens & Monsters in that category with won an Allure beauty award so I’m assuming not everyone gets bug spray. 🤣Bug I tell you…I used a mosquito repellent last summer and it didn’t smell half bad! 😆 I own Queens & Monsters as well as Dark Is Night
