    Love the content you provide. A note regarding the wood seat on an otherwise amazing stool... I used the exact same rounds from Lowes and the same size seat swivel. The wood, even though I sanded/stained/conversion varnished the wood, it eventually split at the laminations as it continued to dry over time (and with some use). I had to go back an cut some 1/8" plate into discs that were about an inch smaller in diameter than the wood rounds, which supports the wood and keeps it from splitting at the laminations. It could be due to the heat here in AZ, but don't be surprised or disappointed if you have to replace the wood seats within the next 12 months. That whole patio is absolutely beautiful... be proud of yourself on a great job!

    One of the best options i can think of for bolting stools to concrete would be to use storm shutter anchors in the concrete , those flathead sidewalk bolts work perfect so you can move them out anytime you want and no tall bolts sticking out easy and reusable. Nice build my man.

    They have roll on bedliner that would be great for things like that. A thick rubberized coating. I actually wondered if it would be good to coat posts and things like that that go in the ground. Even an underground bunker. You could coat anything with that stuff to keep it sealed from weather or ground contact. Love you all and the videos. God bless you and the family!

    • @TKCL

My aunt had something similar and her black lab was playing and chasing her friends small dog and her black lab poked her eye out. Unfortunatly they couldn't save her eye. But thanks for the inspiration on this build. Amazing work.

The entire project came out great. I really doubted the board you chose to use on the outside but sanded down and painted it really looks clean. I am adding my gas grill, Stove top, pizza oven and drinks cooler to mine so far since I have a huge area. I just can not decide on the front of the bar what cover do I want. Awesome build on the stools. One concern- I know you addressed the foot rest safety issue for people but may want to look closer for Rugers sake. I have had an energetic hunting dog and she ran into a couple of things when we’re playing ball that I never thought of…

    Yo Andrew. I've been watching since the storm shelter build. I went back and watched the whole house build, Great work!
    I just wanted to say that this is my favorite project since the house itself. The stools look great and seem practical. Keep up the good work!
    As weird as it may seem, when you do entertain using the patio area, I would love to see it in use by your guests. I know some folks don't like to be filmed but if possible, would be nice to see. I'm invested man! lol

    If you unbolt your stools and put a thick stainless steel washer on each bolt and bolt your stools back down, this will give you a gap for airflow and reduce the chance of rust.
    Your bottom plate is thick enough you shouldn't have any flex issues.
    Just a thought, it's up to you.
    Keep up the great content

    Heyyy Andrew. Great bar stools. You mentioned about possible rust under the base of the stools. Is there a way you can use some type of silicone type sealer and go around the edges. Obviously would need some type that will adhere to concrete and metal. Just a thought. Or some type of rubber strip that attaches to the bottom side of the plate, and is crushed when you tighten down the nuts, sealing the outer edge of the plate.

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  2 года назад

      Water always finds a way in, I'm thinking stainless washers or a thin sheet of rubber.

    Hey on those bottoms when you weld, if they warp here is how to fix the warp. take a torch and heat up the welds on the bottom. just cherry the weld and follow it around with the cherry then use watter to fast cool. warp will come right out. its called heat shrinking. I can make a bowl out of flat steel doing this method......... The Guys at Samsung shipyard in SK are the best in the world doing this. I got training from one at Avondale shipyard years ago. Its a great skill to learn awesome job BTW

    Had me worried at the beginning. I like a natural wood look where you can see the grain, that stain looked a bit dark. Once you wiped it off I felt better. Outstanding job keep up the good work. I would have preferred a rubber or wood mallet to drive the anchors instead of a claw. But if you had to do the claw then maybe put the nut on while you hammer that way the threads never get damaged.

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  2 года назад

      Those anchors are specifically designed to be driven by a hammer. They have a long section of no threads up top for impact.

    Did you find what Ruger drug outside the shop at 13:00, LOL. Has he been accidently stepped on from sneaking up behind you and laying down? So much frustration and joy wrapped up in a tiny package.
    The barstools came out amazing. I especially love the foot rest. So creative. But I would have put a piece of felt between the stool and concrete.
    Prayers for Florida.
