    The title and thumbnail play a huge role, but honestly, we just want to see how real people in this hobby exit the 9 to 5 and run a successful business. Everyone dreams of doing it, but are scared and don't know how.
    It's not really about advice, but more a curiosity of how someone else is doing it. And your laid back and humble approach is refreshing to watch. Transparency goes a long way too. I like how you can show big numbers without bragging about it. I'm new to the channel, but I'll be sticking around.
    If I had a video request, it would be more stuff like this. Show how you do different things no matter how small.

    I think the reason people (or at least I did) started watching your video is because you're just a chill guy sharing your way of getting into the hobby and trying to make it into something more. No bs, just feels genuine. Also, you have a good podcast voice/vibe haha.. keep going bro :))

    I love these types of videos because they work great to have on while I am sorting or pre-grading/condition checking cards.

    Love these long videos to play in the background while I sort cards and make listings. Recently started selling a lot more singles too and you're right about it being so much more fulfilling. It's much more of a time grind, but I find analyzing the singles much more interesting than graded cards. With graded it feels like everyone's sort of after the same high value cards and usually only purchasing one item at a time, but when someone buys mass singles from you and you see the type of collector they are, it just feels so much more wholesome and less money driven.

    • @PokemonSteven
      @PokemonSteven  10 месяцев назад

      perfectly said, feels like you can connect between seller/collector rather than someone just buying a PSA 10 card for a few thousand, sure its monetary good, but empty feeling.

    Kudos to you for sticking through the teasing and jokes. Collecting in this hobby alone, we’re always prone to that stuff; hell the roots of our hobby are surrounded by the bullied and the outcast. People forget just how much of a niche being a nerd used to be. But trying to make a business out of it still isn’t something people take seriously, so huge respect to you for sticking it out and reaping the benefits of your success 🙏 always great seeing your videos Steve

    The best thing to remember and/or consider if you ever take a sponsorship is to only ever take one on if you've actually used the product and believe in it. But I agree, always best to just sponsor yourself.
    And there isn't anyone out there who is better than you who is charging money for what you give away for free.
    I also think the best way to learn is to just DO. Even someone listening to your videos and mistakes will only really learn how to sell cards and run a store successfully by actually doing it and learning from their mistakes.

    • @PokemonSteven

    Maybe I should buy a few smaller bulk to test the water here, the older card were sold for cents each but I think I could drive up the price for maybe 10 cents by using a cheap plastic sleeve so that it won't be damaged since a common with a good art is a good card.
