I agree with you. We can find joy and happiness in many activities in life. We are adaptable. Life is ever changing, which is why we are so good at adapting our outlook.

Please do a video on things you've done or tried to help with symptoms, I love this series. You're really helping me feel like I fit. I know I live in uncertainty but knowing I am there & why is certainty for me. Thank you for sharing so much.

Ok I'll definitely do that at somepoint then! Yeah it's definitely tough living with the uncertainty but it gets a little easier once you find the coping mechanisms for when symptoms get more challenging 💜

I’m sat in hospital, just been given a diagnosis of FND trying to allow it all to sink in tbh. Thank you for sharing

Sand here, but just left hospital. Hope you're doing well. There's a good new FND app that I found very useful.

It's definitely hard when you first get diagnosed. I'm now 2 years in and am finding it all much easier to manage, not because my symptoms are any better but just because I know the strategies that work for me. Keep your head up, you can do this 💕. Always here if you need to talk 😘

Y’all… I need a group or something. I have FND seizures and am in an area where doctors are fine with saying I have “pseudoseizures”. I’m usually one to access my own resources and am sympathetic to people’s lack of education (you only know what you know), but I am so overwhelmed rn. If anyone here is in the greater Austin, Texas area, WE NEED TO HANG. I like nature, arts and crafts, and LOVE what I’m doing in college rn!

I enjoyed this video.😊 I totally agree with you about educating yourself, because how can you get better if you don’t know what to do? Or rather what not to do?
I’ve been trying to find more current research articles, but it seems this has only been approached from a psychological perspective up until roughly 10 years ago. Do you have any articles to recommend for the newest research on possible physical causes?

Nuerologist advised me to look up neutosymptoms, it's a lonely 🤒 illness. I do my own research think I know all I need to about it, people don't understand it.

@@YeyOrNeigh are you on Instagram? This is all new to me and I don't have much support and some friends believe that I will get better because some people recover fully (especially if its stress induced) and I have struggled a lot with grief before this diagnosis. I'm not sure how to address things like you're walking better, implying I'm getting better when that's not how this illness works.

    • @YeyOrNeigh

Yes I'm also on Instagram (also YeyOrNeigh). It's definitely hard dealing with friends and family at the start as they're still learning too and accepting your diagnosis (it can take them some time to get their head around it). It is possible to improve some symptoms and I know people can go into full remission with no symptoms, although that's not my experience, and those who I've heard of this happening to have often relapsed multiple times too so it's not like you're "cured". It might be worth explicitly telling them that you do have some better and some worse days. But it might be just a case of giving them some time (as frustrating as that is). Big hugs 💕

There's an app now very similar to neurosymptoms.org by the same people.

@@YeyOrNeigh FND hope, I started watching some of their videos and Mike Edwards (that may be incorrect) seems to be an expert. His info that's not usually online is helping me.

@@sla1xyz yep Professor Mark Edwards is one of the main experts on FND. He's very good at explaining things and his ideas were what helped me improve some of my symptoms! Glad he's helping you with what he's put out there 😃💕
