This was the TRUE prime of Disney-MGM Studios. What should've stayed was the animation building since the animators used to work on actual projects there, while we, the guests, would peer through these glass windows to see what them working. THAT was something and quite a disappointment they disappeared.
twist58 It didn't help the fact that Walt Disney Feature Animation was starting to lose money at the time in 2004.
I was lucky enough to get picked to feature on the "honey I shrunk the kids" bee flying scene, unfortunately we never had a video camera at the time and only got photos, still good memories

I was 15 years old and June 1990. We went to Dick Tracy premiere at DTD AMC! You got at T shirt as your ticket into movie.

Yeah, thanks so much for all the work you put into these videos. They're amazing and it's also surprising that you put more work into archiving Disney history than Disney does.
So glad to have been able to take the tour in 2003 even if it was shorter.
As going back next year and now its gone.

Man, i appreciate all the work you put into these videos Martin. Its so cool to see the tour the way it was originally suppose to be.
The Backstage Studio Tour is now gone and is being replaced by Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and Toy Story Land, while the Great Movie Ride is being replaced by Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway.
Really looking forward to watching this. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos and upload them.

WOW!!! Great video!!! Love the amazing detail and vintage aerial photos and maps. The running time says 1:01:47, but stopping to read the captions and look at the various scenes doubles that for me! Very, very enjoyable - looking forward to the next 2 parts.

Great video as always. Really hoping to see part 2 and 3 as soon as possible. It is very interesting to see how this park has changed because I believe that had a big change from its original concept to present.
