Dear JapanSeikatsu, Could you talk more about Japanese language learning support from Hitotsubashi? Would doing the 2 year program allow more time and opportunity for those not proficient in Japanese yet to improve?
Hello Hitotsubashi ICS, that is a wonderful idea to share the video on your SNS channels. Thank you for doing so and also providing a life-changing MBA experience!
Was your MBA in "How to explain things really well" because you always get the information across at the perfect pace in your videos. I have no intention of doing an MBA in Japan, but this almost convinces me that I should reconsider!
That is a very kind and generous of you to take the time to write that, thank you Alex. Knowing that you and others are finding value in this content is motivation to produce more.
Greetings from Colombia! I'm planning to get a MEXT Scholarship and Hitotsubashi is one of the universities I selected as an option. I really appreciate your thoughs about it and I really liked the fact that the students have the chance to learn about east and west business cultures: I consider this "mix" is really appropriate at this times. Thanks for your video!
Amazing Sr. I just found your channel and I'm pretty inspired I'm still 23 but this is definitely a goal I'm planning to achieve. Thank you for the videos; going to the next one!
Hi Ian! Thank you for this informative video, I am planning to apply for ICS in their upcoming round of admissions and the info you shared is definitely going to help me a lot in the preparation phase. I would like to ask if it is possible to share some common interview questions to prepare beforehand seeing that you went through the application process for a few business schools in Japan. I am targeting a few programs within Japan too and was curious what are some common themes interviewers ask about. Hope to hear from you. Thank you once again!
I got accepted in yonsei but for japan I did some trial classes with GLOBIS and Doshashia and it was great but I am interesting in Sophia waseda and ICU!
Thank you sooo much for your much helpful vid!! Am working on my gmat now and am planning to study mba in japan. Please sir can you tell me an advice for applying for MBA, because i saw the applying method in waseda and other ones, they were kinda confusing, and please can you tell me what is a good gmat score to get accepted? Thank you sooo much for ur sharing information and i wish to you all the best in your life!
Great video! I have a question, if I wanted to open a cosmetology business and maybe one day own my own product line would an MBA be a good option for me? I would really love to study in Japan within the next 2-3years
Really cool video. I'm sure this is a great option if you want to target jobs in Japan post-MBA, as Hitotsubashi is a great name there. The academic rigour seems to be very helpful too, because as you said nobody can take your education away! A couple of questions - what are you doing now Post-MBA, and what kind of roles/companies are classmates of yours now in? And have you seen any success in getting hired overseas post-Hitotsubashi MBA? In terms of ROI, I don't know how the price tag can be beaten.
Ello from india What academic qualifications need to apply University Also what is the acceptance rate for foreigners if they are from bba background Also can you make video which other universities provide mba in English Ty for wonderful information i would like to take admission in hitoshibashi University after my grad school
Thank u for the information🤗 I do have one question that is. After completing MBA can we get post like manager, assistant manager and will our salary be according to our position or not. In western country salary differ according to position . But i heard in japan they will pay hourly. Can you please tell what is it like in terms of salary payment system and whats the average salary of MBA graduate in japan. Thank u☺️
At most MBA programs GMAT, undergraduate grades, your application and interview are factors, to be sure just visit the websites of the schools you’re interested in to see their entry requirements.
Thank you for your question, Haider. Both universities have strong brands in Japan and are located in Tokyo, it appears the tuition cost at Hitotsubashi is lower than Waseda. I know of some excellent professors at both programs, I suspect you’ll be able to get a great education at both. Hitotsubashi ICS has a 1-year and 2-year MBA program taught in English while Waseda’s English MBA is only offered as a 2-year program. As always please double check this of course, this is only my understanding. Ultimately two wonderful options.
Thank you so much! I have two questions. 1. You think, Is GRE or GMAT score considered as a big difference maker for admission? or just one indicator? 2. I am curious about students' undergraduate majors, I mean, whether non-business major students are a lot or not. Thank you
The GRE and GMAT are, as you wrote, just one data point of many that admissions will consider. Regarding undergrad, for business schools they are more interested in your work experience and your career objective (and how the MBA will help you achieve that objective). Best of luck good sir!
Thank you so much for the info. I have more than 4 years of full time working experience in japan and I have bachelor degree but i haven’t give any exam of GMAT . I want to join ICS MBA . Is it possible without GMAT?
Thanks for this usefull info, next year i will graduate in BA in japanese ,i want to do MBA in Japan ,which exam should i pass before applying for mba ?
Thank you for your comment, for most MBA programs the GMAT exam is required but it’s safest to look at the websites of schools you are interested in to double check. Also, many programs require a few years of work experience but not all. Best of luck on your Japan journey!
Thank you for your question Dinesh, while the MBA in Japan is not as well recognised by some Japanese firms (compared to Europe or the US for example) it's growing in popularity. From personal experience, my MBA classmates were able to find work after graduation (many of them in Japan with Japanese companies). Speaking Japanese and prior work experience is a big help, best of luck on your Japan journey!
@@JapanSeikatsu how about a part time job? May I have an insight on your daily schedule in Hitotsubashi so I can maybe squeeze in a part time because I will be supporting myself.
From my experience, no classmates worked part time jobs during their first year (it was quite intense from an educational perspective), but I did have a classmate that worked a part time job in year 2. One area to research is the Young Leaders Program (YLP), the program provides scholarships to the MBA program at ICS and I believe it’s organised through the Japanese Embassy in qualifying countries.
Hello Wait for twist, I don’t know of a Japan program focused exclusively on hotel management but I think the MBA in general could apply to the hotel industry. Best of luck on your journey!
Thank you for your question. Is a truck, sports car or sedan the best vehicle? The answer entirely depends on the needs of the owner, a sports car isn’t helpful to a family of five and a truck may be more useful to a farmer than a sedan. Where you get your MBA will influence where you work, is France, the US or Japan a better cultural and career fit for you? I’d research all of these options, you will be able to get a great education in any of these countries but where do you ultimately want to end up is an important consideration. Best of luck on your journey!
I’ll try to do an interview with a Globis alum in 2022, I have a friend who enjoyed the MBA program there. I also sat in a trial class and thought the professor was very good. I hope this helps.
