I realize that what I post here may probably fall on deaf ears...
But it is my sincere hope that you will read it and pray about it...
I will start off with a few verses from the Apostle Paul on the subject:
1 Corinthians 5:7 - Get rid of the old leaven, that you may be a new unleavened batch, as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. In this verse the Apostle Paul tells us to prepare for the Feast of Unleavened Bread... (Also, the Apostle Paul tells us that Jesus is our Passover Lamb...)
Please read the next verse:
1 Corinthians 5:8Therefore let us keep the feast, not with the old bread, leavened with malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and of truth. (In this verse the Apostle Paul tells us to keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread...)
1 Corinthians 15:20 - But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the First Fruits of those who have fallen asleep. (In this verse, the Apostle Paul tells us that on the day Jesus was resurrected, He was the First Fruits of the grave...)
The Bible calls these Feasts by a special Name: The "Feasts of the LORD" They are mandated by GOD for ALL HIS people to keep throughout their generations...
(Exodus 12:42) Colossians 2:16 - Therefore let no one judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a feast, a New Moon, or a Sabbath... (The Apostle Paul taught the New Believers in Colossae not to let the people around them judge them now that they were no longer eating unclean meats, no longer drinking blood, because they kept the Feasts of the LORD, because they kept the 7th Day Sabbath)
The Scriptures establish the Feasts that are to be kept... GOD told HIS People:
Deuteronomy 12:29 through 32 - 29When the LORD your God cuts off before you the nations you are entering to dispossess, and you drive them out and live in their land, 30be careful not to be ensnared by their ways after they have been destroyed before you. Do not inquire about their gods, asking, “How do these nations serve their gods? I will do likewise.” 31You must not worship the LORD your God in this way, because they practice for their gods every abomination which the LORD hates. They even burn their sons and daughters in the fire as sacrifices to their gods. 32See that you do everything I command you; do not add to it or subtract from it.
The next two verse I would like to share with you involves math...
Matthew 12:39 and 40 - 39 Jesus replied, “A wicked and adulterous generation demands a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. 40For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. (Here, Jesus stated right from His own lips that He would be in the heart of the earth for THREE Days and THREE Nights...)
John 20:1 - Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance. (In this verse, we find that Mary Magdalene went to the tomb on "Sunday" but it was empty... (It is a common "tradition" that the Messiah was crucified on "Good" Friday and resurrected on "Easter" Sunday, but when one does math, it does not add up...)
IF the Messiah was crucified on Friday...
We find: Friday, the FIRST Day...
Friday, the FIRST Night...
Saturday, the SECOND Day...
Saturday, the SECOND Night...
Sunday, the THIRD Day...
Sunday, the THIRD Night??? The tomb was already empty THAT day...
Jesus was quite clear when he said THREE DAYS and THREE NIGHTS... Sunday Night is missing...
In the Book of Mark, we find these verses:
Mark 7:6 through 8 - 6Jesus answered them, “Isaiah prophesied correctly about you hypocrites, as it is written: ‘These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. 7 They worship Me in vain; they teach as doctrine the precepts of men.’ 8You have disregarded the Commandment of God to keep the tradition of men.”
In the Book of Matthew, we find these verses:
Matthew 15:8 and 9 - 8‘These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. 9 They worship Me in vain; they teach as doctrine the precepts of men.’”
I ask you to research the so-called "church fathers"... All roads lead to Rome...
In spite of all of the Scriptural references I have provided, WHY is it that "Christians" don't observe the "Feasts of the LORD"? Did Jesus do away with them? In Matthew 5:17 through 19, the Messiah states very plainly that He did not...
So WHO "changed" them?
In AD 325, the Council of Nicaea decided to set its date to celebrate Easter instead of Passover. The date set was the first full moon after March 21. March 21 is the first day of Spring on the Gregorian calendar. This date was not random but carefully selected by the Council and Emperor Constantine to combine them with heathen festivals that were already being celebrated in Rome.
It has previously been established that The Passover, the Feast of Unleavened Bread and the Feast of First Fruits are in the Bible...
But is "Easter"? Yes, it is...
Everything done on Easter is in the Bible...
And they are things that GOD told us NOT to do to worship Him...
JEREMIAH 44:19 - “And when we burned incense to the Queen of Heaven and poured out drink offerings to her, did we make cakes for her, to idolize her, and pour out drink offerings to her, without our husbands?
(Have you ever wondered where did your "hot cross buns" come from?)
(WHO is this "Queen of Heaven? She has MANY names: Virgin Mary, Semiramis, Eostre, Diana, Ishtar among many)
Ezekiel 8:14 - Then He brought me to the entrance of the north gate of the house of the LORD, and I saw women sitting there, weeping for Tammuz. (Tammuz, the son of Ishtar, was killed by a boar hog. So women were weeping and mourning him for 40 DAYS. And then at the culmination of this 40 days of fasting and weeping, a HAM dinner is served as revenge for a boar hog killing Tammuz.)
And in Ezekiel 8:16 - So He brought me to the inner court of the house of the LORD, and there at the entrance to the temple of the LORD, between the portico and the altar, were about twenty-five men with their backs to the temple of the LORD and their faces toward the east; and they were bowing to the east in worship of the sun.,
(What day do "Christians" get up early so that they can face the east to see the sun rise? Resurrection Sunday? IF Jesus was already found to be gone from the tomb while it was STILL DARK on Sunday, then why?)
The Messiah DID NOT die on "Good Friday"... The Messiah WAS NOT raised on "Easter" Sunday...
The Messiah was crucified on the Passover... (the 14th Day of the 1st Hebrew Month)
The Messiah was raised from the dead on the Feast of First Fruits... (The day following the first day of Unleavened Bread)
The dates of these Feasts of the LORD are stated in the Bible...
The dates of "Easter" always occurs on the SAME day of the week that was set corresponding to the Spring Equinox because this is when "Easter" was worshiped...
GOD said to Observe the Feasts of the LORD in all your generations...
Constantine and the Council of Nicaea mandated that you celebrate "Easter"...
We really need to heed what the Apostle Peter told us in this situation: Acts 5:29 - But Peter and the other apostles replied, “We must obey God rather than men.

Modern-day mainstream Christians lack a fundamental understanding of who Paul was addressing in his Colossian epistle, the era in which he wrote it, and they believe that Paul’s writings were addressed to non-law-abiding Christians. Colossians 2:16-17, when understood from its proper historical context and perspective, has a completely different meaning than what many modern-day mainstream Christians believe it to be.
Paul was addressing new Messianic Colossian converts who lived among the heavy influence of Babylonian, Greek, and Roman cultures (Colossians 1:1-2). The Babylonian, Greek, and Roman cultures of the time, which the new Colossian converts came out of, consumed all manner of unclean creatures, celebrated pagan holidays, and observed the first-day of the week as the Sabbath day. Paul was not addressing modern-day law-is-done-away-with Christians. Mainstream Christianity later adopted Babylonian, Greek, and Roman cultures and pagan religious practices (including their diet, pagan holidays, and first-day Sabbath) unto itself. The Colossian believers whom Paul wrote to observed new moon celebrations in accordance with Scripture. Christians do not observe new moons, so Paul was NOT addressing modern-day mainstream Christianity in Colossians 2:16-17.
Colossians 2:16-17 are applicable verses to Messianic and Hebrew roots believers who often receive judgment (mocking / ridicule) from their non-law-abiding Christian brethren for observing the dietary commandments, God’s feasts, new moons, and the seventh-day Sabbath.
A SHADOW OF THINGS TO COME…
Many Christians misunderstand Colossians 2:16-17 and think it means that God’s dietary laws and Sabbath were merely a shadow of things to come and now that Christ has
come we no longer need to obey His dietary commands or observe the Sabbath day. Many people twist Paul’s words to do away with God’s perpetual laws (2 Peter 3:13-17).
Yeshua (Jesus) had already come and gone when the Apostle Paul wrote Colossians. Colossians 2:16-17 was not a prophecy concerning the Messiah (Christ) who had already come. Consuming proper food and drink, observing God’s festivals, new moons, and Sabbaths are still things that are yet to come for the majority of people living in the world.
Yeshua (Jesus) plainly said He did not come to abolish the law (Matthew 5:17-19), and the law is proclaimed to be perpetual throughout Scripture, so Colossians 2:16-17 should be understood with the underlying precept understanding that God’s laws are eternal.
COLOSSIANS 2:16-17 (NKJV) [WITH INTERPRETATION]:
Let no one judge [MOCK, RIDICULE] you in food or in drink [AS YOU OBEY GOD’S DIETARY COMMANDS - GENESIS 1:29; LEVITICUS 11; DEUTERONOMY 14], or regarding a festival [OF GOD - LEVITICUS 23] or a new moon [NUMBERS 29:6] or [THE SEVENTH-DAY] sabbaths [GENESIS 2:2-3; EXODUS 20:8, 31:15-16, 35:2; LEVITICUS 23:3; DEUTERONOMY 5:12-14], which are a shadow of things [OF THE AGE] to come, but the substance is of Messiah (Christ).
Believers who obey God’s dietary commands, observe His feasts, new moons, and 7th day Sabbaths, which are not commonly followed in this world, are like a shadow of things to come… a shadow of how things will be done when Messiah (Christ) returns.
REVELATION 19:15 (NKJV):
