This is one of my all time favorites. I used to play it on repeat every night and fall asleep. It's a shame to lose someone with so much talent. It's obvious how much Chester was loved. He will be miss. :'(

It was unfortunate this happened. But as a man who used to suffer from the same mindset it wasnt a choice. Nano Nerfer- Selfish? Suicide is a bit selfish in nature. However, I can't completely blame Chester. Depression is a disorder that makes you think things that are untrue, it warps your mind. Either way, I think we all are a little angry at Chester for leaving us so soon. That doesn't mean we are unsympathetic, it just means that we all miss him very much. I hope he found the peace he was looking for.
Why is it selfish? People mostly barely give any fucks about depressive people and god forbid you openly admit. It's like back in those days when we had LAN parties. Some dudes PC didn't work properly and for a while everyone tries to help out the guy but eventually the rest goes on gaming and the poor dude has to watch and keep himself busy. Most people don't understand depression, it's basically the suffocation of any joy, any shit just becomes pointless. The whole "selfish" argument is assuming you could just "better yourself". Trust me a lot of people fight like crazy but can't save themselves, and the sun still shines, people are happy somewhere else, etc. Just as suggested in the song One more light, people don't give a fuckin shit about you and if they do, they often just can't help you.

There is no angry comments. Its a dirty yellow press who make his words sound like he is angry and wanna kick his fans in the face. Originally, in interview, Chester has no anger at all. Also he smiling and laughing, so there is no seriousness in those "angry comments".
@@PPRKUT88 I think he really was frustrated with how people were reacting to the album (based on stuff his friends said about him), but yeah these comments were definitely taken out of context. What is true, however, was that it was very out of character for him... idk, maybe it's just hindsight bias, but now it's clear to me something was wrong there.
@@Ariel_thenotsolittlemermaid Some people talking shit about Linkin Park's music since Hybrid Theory. So there was nothing new to him and rest of the band. And if there was any frustration - it wasnt bigger than many times before.
@@PPRKUT88 I know it wasn't mew... but these songs were more personal than almost anything else he ever did with the band, so it's understandable why he would be more hurt. Not to mention, I feel like the hate they got this time was worse than anytime before- people literally told him he can't sing well anymore and should stop making music. Not to mention, it was at least half their fanbase saying that. Whereas in previous albums they would get hate comments, but the majority was positive, it felt like this time the hate was coming from all directions and nearly no one would stand up for them.
But, truth be told, we'll never be able to know for sure if it was just a joke or there was something deeper there. We can only make guesses.
@@Ariel_thenotsolittlemermaid He wrote/co-wrote lyrics only for 2 songs for OML album (Heavy and Halfway Right) and wasnt around most of the time during writing for this album. So there wouldnt be much more hurt for him than anytime before. I remember what he said about difference between how haters dont like their new songs and how this haters says that band dont put their souls and hearts in this songs, BUT I'm unable to present an actual quote.

Corey is definetly my favorite musician out there... he is a great singer and he has such a big heart and despite all the fame he is still a guy who would sit down with you in a bar and talk about the weather or shit! He is just an awesome person!

I'm still crying dude, I haven't even listened to LP in years but Chester and the band were so impactful on me and if it wasn't for them and bands like them, I don't think I would have gotten into heavier music. and I haven't even really been a fan of theres since I was a kid. if I'm this upset with someone whose band I haven't related with in years, I can't even imagine if someone like corey or randy blythe died, id be fucking devastated. R.I.P. Chester man. you were loved by millions and youll never know how much you've done for me and others like me and my generation.

Breaks my heart every single time I watch it. This song has always meant a lot to me and to know it was one of cheaters favorite songs when I have been a far beyond huge fan of Linkin Park and Chester since 2000. Chester saved my life multiple times multiple. He made me feel like I wasn't the only one with this struggle and I wasn't as different and alone as I thought I was. Our lives were almost exactly the same from childhood until he passed..even though we never met I know our spirits know each other I am still in shock I can't believe he's gone. I know why and I understand more then anyone knows. I love your Chester RIP ETERNAL LOVE

Thank you for that Corey, I really wish more artists show the kind of class that you just for other artist. The industry has gotten pretty catty now days with group rivalry, it shouldn't take a talents like Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington dyeing for others to come out and show love for one another's art. I feel that no matter what you loved him like a brother and we all lost a couple of great men this year... Chester crossed a lot of boundaries that if he didn't otherwise would of robbed the world of great music from combined talents. I never met the guy, was never born into his family but all of that aside I sure as hell fell as if I lost a Brother yesterday...
