A word of warning regarding doctors at Babcock Ranch: Finding a doctor is a nightmare. Lee Health has a 1 year wait for new appointments, and their Healthway therapy center operates as a hospital extension... making it 3x more expensive than a non-hospital one. Any other doctors are 45-60 minutes away in Forth Myers. It is supposed to get better in 2025, but don't hold your breath. At the dentist office be skeptical of recommended treatment (get a 2nd opinion if it seems too extensive), it could be more than medically necessary, and treatments tend to include items not covered by insurance. The best idea is to ask them to stick to things covered by the insurance.
I'm sure the office there in Babcock is pretty busy now but let's face it, I hear that about every Dr's office these days. My Dr books 9-12 months out as well and so do all of my parents Dr's in Florida and in other states. So that shouldn't be a surprise. This is why the medical field is such a good field to get into. There are a ton of job opportunities!! I don't mean to be argumentative but you are 100% wrong about all other Dr's being 45-60 mins away. There are multiple Dr's offices along Palm Beach Blvd, mine included, that are only 10-15 minutes away. And there are multiple Dr's offices in Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte that are 20-30 minutes away. Now, they may not be in your insurance network but that doesn't mean there are not any. 2025 is only 3 months away. The dentist advice is good advice for any medical treatment suggestion form any Dr or dentist anywhere in the world!
@@TheNiesmanTeam I called a couple dozen Drs that were nearer, none of them would take new patients. Needing to renew prescriptions we ended up with one deep in Cape Coral, as it was the only one that would take us. Palm Beach blvd would be great, but I did not find any practices there taking new patients. How do you make it to Punta Gorda in 20-30 minutes? I never made it in less than 45 minutes, through either going south and then to 75 or through 31 and 74. Is there another way to get to 75 between those two major roads? The point I was making is that while Babcock Ranch has a lot going for it, if you move there now you must be prepared for the hassle, for at least 1-3 years until we get enough businesses in the area.

Google maps says 36 mins from the Babcock town center to Punta Gorda city hall taking 31 to 74 and 46 minutes to get to Fawcett Hospital and all of the Drs around it.
