I love how she's a little bit nervous and there's several awkward silences where the audience isn't sure if the joke landed. It LANDED lol just adds to her legendary weirdness 💯
Not to mention, that's an insanely complicated monologue. So many moving parts, but it worked.
It's okay, she gets nervous when she attempts one of her ritual serial killings, too! (Don't ask me how I escaped her clutches!)
She kills me. I love deadpan and using sarcasm! It goes over some heads but to those who grasp it love it!

That's sweet to give a bunch of the other pages some screen time, and that was a pretty awesome walking monologue.
The ending was the best. The guys from set and her admission that this was a dream from the beginning. So so cool to see that happen.
20 years from now, one of those 2 will host an SNL episode and they will use this short clip for their monologue!

Perfect monologue for her. Kinda weird, kinda quirky, a lot of fun.
There have been monologues that were like that, recently. Sometimes many of which weren’t properly organized, didn't have a lot of funny jokes or remarks, or some which were cool, but often unique.
I feel like this is the most unnatural role for her though.

People seem to forget that despite the quirkiness of her personality, Aubrey Plaza is a really smart, very attractive, competent, educated woman, more than able to host SNL.
I’m pretty sure I heard Aubrey was invited to audition for SNL way back before Parks & Rec and was rejected. Must be awesome to go from being a page to a rejected SNL audition to a breakout sitcom star to a beloved comic actress to a beloved indie movie and prestige TV actress to SNL host.

When they popped up as their Parks and Rec characters, I damn near started crying. It made so many of us P and R fans so filled with joy.
One of my favorite monologues, Aubrey natural has a chill, cool, funny vibe so this just seemed natural for her.

Every time I can't put my finger on why I find her strangely fascinating and entertaining no matter what she's actually doing.
Because she's interesting and isn't afraid to be a little weird-- a refreshing deviation from the norm. Even if it's "Hollywood edgy," it's still great

In case you were serious, she got her role after a casting director set up a meeting with Aubrey and Mike Schur. He was so intrigued by her personality that he wrote the character for her.
