He has since gone on to take caretaker charge of the Irons on two occasions and is currently employed by the club as Under-18s coach.
Kev talks us through the current academy forfeits, losing all his kit when West Ham won promotion in 1993 and the moment he knew Mark Noble would make it as a pro.

I sure hope you're wrong about the current academy lads Kev, I sure hope it's not gonna be another year or 18 months until we see some of them break into the first team because I believe and I know that A LOT of my fellow hammers believe that quite a few of them deserve a shot in the first team NOW
Certainly Mubama, Marshall, Scarles, Earthy, Kodua and Hegyi to name but a few
Honestly, I really cannot understand why Moyes isn't or hasn't
I'm sure he's aware how well the 18s did last season winning the double, I'm sure he watched a lot of the games even so he obviously knows how good they are and he also obviously knows how much some of our current first team forwards are struggling like Ings, Cornet and Antonio so why doesn't he take a chance on some of the players who did so well last season?!
Honestly, Divin especially will be wondering what else he's gotta do to get a chance!
He's gotta be so careful cuz if he doesn't give em game time, they'll be off just like Ngakia, Perkins, Holland, Ashby etc and these ones are wayyyyy too good to lose so come on David, PLEASE!!!!
The sooner you listen to the fans and you realise that you don't need to splash the cash on a new striker in January because what you need is right under your nose, the better 🙏🙏🙏
