If I summarized the debate of whether Light Yagami was right or wrong: - If the ends justify the means, then Light was right. While he was Kira, he reduced the global crime rate by 70%, saved millions of people (if not a billion) and reduced potential wars. Like I stated earlier, he did save an enourmous amount of people who could've died or could've been depressed due to potential crimes & wars being reduced or prevented altogether. Really makes you think if Light really deserved to win... - If the means justify the end, then Light was wrong. He used to care about the development of the world, until he succumbed to his own power & got corrupted. He wanted people to agree & worship him, he wants to feel like the superior god. He kills off innocent people who gets in his way, people who are just involved to the slightest, falsely accused convicts who are actually innocent but framed or even the people who just simply disagrees with his goals.
Imo, he's right. He wants to punish criminals. Sure he's trying to be "God" but let's not forget that in the anime, Matsuda said that the criminality rate has decreased significantly. He started killing people other than criminals because he's getting chased
@@youngbennette6681 True, but it was still a sick thing to do, he punished not only criminals that did bad but also criminals that were trying to change their lives, though i accept your opinion it can go both ways based on religions or beliefs Thanks for watching the video hope you will enjoy my other ones! 😄
In one hand, he makes criminals or who he deemed morally bad fears kira, crime rate drops dramatically, wars end and so on On the other hand he punish criminal,(i assume) indisciminatly, meaning he could be killing anyone who was deemed criminal, that guy might be forced to, they might be trying to repent and better himself, or even wrongly convicted, we have no way to confirm it. Then hes willing to take down anyone that comes after him i can see the logic of minor sacrifies for the greater good Its a poor mindset, but sometimes it just works He dosent seems to do anything to benefit himself personally apart from sastify his own ego So, for me personally, he has his flaws, but id take him
@@imreallynoob8311 Yes this is why i say it is a two way answer divided by beliefs and mindsets, if you grew up hating criminals or was badly affected by them, you might think Light was correct. Though if you are a rational person you would think Light isn’t correct due to his absolute mindset on solely killing ANY criminal who’s name and face was broadcast, dosent matter the scale of their crime he would immediately kill them or make someone else kill them this is why I agree with you, Light had many flaws in his plan to be the “savior of the world” and was ultimately wrong in my opinion. -Thanks for watching hope you look out for more videos i post 😀
@@SenseiBatmanit’s all explained light said actually says that he doesn’t punish if it was accidental or if they sincerely regretted their crimes or if there was not enough evidence he did a lot of research on these criminals before hand and if it lowered crime rate by 70% and stopped entire wars who are we to stop him even though I was saddened that he lost I loved the ending it has some minor problems but I loved the show
