Brought back memories of my mother and I checking out the stores, then going to the fabric shops. Thank you for reminding me...
Thank you for taking the time to not only investigate and report on the High Street but you also found us the perfect patterns to achieve "the look."
#2, Chanel-style jacket, will stay in style for a long time.
Linton Tweeds have beautiful fabric
These videos are so fun. My style is classic East Coast so I have the same closet now as I did 20 years ago but I still like to see what's new...or rather, new again. As a teenager, I wore the vest (waistcoat) sans shirt the first time around. I look at my pix now and think "why was I half naked?!" I finally get why my mother refuses to wear clothing trends as an adult that she had worn when she was young. 🤣
Very good blog Kate with lot of ideas 😁
Brilliant, many thanks. Great patterns.
I really enjoyed this video. Your research in matching patterns to street fashion seemed spot on,
Thank you! My favorite video every time is the trends video. I will say that the very detailed, slim to skinny pants with that twisted top is so so good. Would look wonderful in a formal fabric or in casual black denim. The whole look seemed elegant to me. Again thanks.
That was fantastic Kate! Thanks so much. I know they are a lot of work but these videos are my favourites! Diana
Just starting back to sewing after year off. I feel the creative juices flowing. Thx.
Thank you Kate! Very helpful and useful for me as I hate going to the shops. Make the blouse! I know how time is a premium for you so go slow with it. Enjoy!
Absolutely loved this Kate x 🧵✂️🪡💕
Lovely selection Kate. 👍😃
Love your videos, Kate, and some really great pattern choices here. Thanks!
Thanks Kate you are an absolute legend!! xxx Love seeing the upcoming fashions over there, when I'm over here in Australia !! xx
Thanks for the spring fashion ideas, I never realised there were so many different pattern companies out there and have only ever used the big ones that have been around for year such as Simplicity, New Look etc 🤷♀️
That Arket jacket reminds me of my husband's old vietnam war era military parka liner. 😂
Amazing break down. Thank you so much for all the effort and keep them coming. Best from Canada!
For the knit trousers, Sinclair patterns have the (PDF) Metro pull on pants and Vienna jeggings, the Metro look just like regular trousers and the Vienna (which also has a moto option) can be widened to make them appear more ‘trouser like’. Both have lots of really nice details such as a faux fly and pockets which adds to the illusion, I think they’re a perfect match for what you showed us!
I’ve never come across Sinclair Patterns before. I Love their stuff. Just a bit different. Thankyou for pointing me in their direction.
Thanks so much! I live in Australia so I have a head start now on what we will be seeing in the shops for next spring.
Thankyou Kate. Very useful. I laughed at your expression "boucle chanelly". 😁x
Yay I love these videos, as they help me tremendously in planning my next makes. Thank you for the time you put into this, Kate!!
So helpful Kate
I can feel another Chanel jacket in the making
I’ve got some lovely fabric just waiting
Thank you xx🪡🧷🪡🧷
Brilliant! Thank you for doing this series, you're a gem!
Thanks Kate
Always look forward to seeing these! Thank you!!!
I had jersey trousers (or knit pants here in the US) about 10 years ago and I loved them! They were definitely secret pajamas. It was like being able to wear PJs to work. Mine were in a herringbone knit and no one could tell they were knit. I'm printing out my Joan Trousers pattern and making these. Thanks.
Wow! These are great pattern suggestions. Thank you so much.
Kate, you do such a great job with these videos! Thank you
wow, saw loads I want, a whole new wardrobe, Thanks!
You do such an awesome job finding all the patterns, I always look forward to these! Thanks
Love these videos. For the pointy Big collar shirt/blouse the Anna shirt from république du chiffon is a good option too.
Another great vlog on up and comings.. thank you.
Love these videos 🥰 For the pointy collar with ruffles the Cleo shirt by P&M patterns is perfect 😉
Those last pants were perfect!
For the knot/twist trend I highly recommend the Fibre Mood Kamille dress. Been wearing mine for a good 2 years now. Also wore it while pregnant and it’s nursing friendly
Lovely, thanks Kate 👍🏻😘
Amazing!! Thank you so much for all that research!
I love the idea for the trouser…
Wonderful video! I’m excited to try my hand at sewing a waistcoat. Thank you for the inspiration.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Really useful Kate, thank you! Love these videos!
I Favorited a few!!
Oh my I LOVE the Anthea blouse pattern! Have never made a blouse before so I am pretty scared though... Hope I'll be able to make it!
Love these videos, thank you 😊
this video is so great! lots of inspiration
Thank you so much for this!
Thanks for a great video!
Thank you
I bloody love these videos! Thanks Kate, thoroughly enjoyed that and going to re-jig my sewing plans now! X
Thanks so much!
Thank you Kate! Loved this!
thank you for the work you do for us. How easy is this?
Yaaaay!
Ah, really liked the Joan trousers but the link is broken and I can’t find them on Friday Pattern Company either. Maybe it is sold out….
My question is: Is high street trends the same as fast fashion trends? I mean do they following the same inspiration base? I imagine fast fashion follows couture. Does high street also follow couture? Thank you for your out put.
Hi Kate, love your videos.
I was wondering if you ever considered doing a Find the Pattern on Korean netflix shows like Its Okay Not to be Okay.
Always enjoy your videos! Thank you for your hard work. They are so inspiring and helpful. One question.... Your description box says trends for Autumn... Did you mean spring or are you 3 seasons ahead?
Would you consider doing East London independent shops for people who don't follow high st trends?
Thank you for another great video. I am very interested in the Joan Trousers from Friday Pattern Company, but your link says that the page cannot be found. I am also not seeing it on the Friday Pattern Company website. is it a discontinued pattern?
I liked the last trousers but the link doesn't work. Can that be fixed?
Are you doing Sew the Trends for Spring 2023????? 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
We certainly are... watch this space!
Is the Didi top done in knit?
Any pattern links available?
