@@CharAimeeDovey yes 100% we need to encourage as many women and youngsters into the sport up here in scotland i see women trout fishing often and theres a comercial coarse fishery near me and women compete in the league with men but sadly there does not seem to be the same amount of youngsters fishing like when i was younger it seems to be the xbox now instead of the tacklebox tightlines
I take my 8 year old nephew with me and he loves it - he showed pictures of the carp and bream he caught in a school assembly and now all the children are badgering their parents to go 🎉 Think I’ve made a rod for my own back though (pun intended) as there’s now a list of kids signed up to try it out with us over the summer. I can see our local Angling Direct doing well with starter rods this Christmas 😂
