The more you make the bellow, the better they look. This one was good enough, but looked terrible, lol. My other videos might show better ones I made. Thanks for watching KYLEglass.
Thanks, Mike, for sharing all your knowledge. I ordered two pieces of Tyvek paper for $3.00 and rebuilt both my bellows. They came out perfect. Couldn't have done it without you!
I find some of the movements interesting to figure out why they are not doing what they are suppose to be doing. Also I love clocks with moving parts like the bird and music man.
It is easy after you do one without rereading the instructions. Then cut it off and do it right, lol. My brother just found a cuckoo clock, a cheap one, and that was after three years of searching. Thanks so much for stopping by Bat.
This Tyvek works very well. The first time I did this process, it looked like hell and I did it over to make it look better. Just read the instructions or watch the video just before you try this at home. Thanks for watching and Good Luck.
Hi, came over from Hertage Farms, greetings. I so wish I had my parents old Cuckoo Clock. It went missing. Anyway I love watching you work and fixing stuff so have subscribed to you. God bless you abundantly.
Heritage Farms is a good channel and he is a great guy. I do enjoy my hobby and for some that tune into my videos, they might even sneak in a good nap, lol. Thanks so much for stopping in and joining the family. God Bless.

Hello deat friend! It has been too long! Great seeing you teach us about the clocks! I haven't put anything new out in a long while. I pray you've been doing good! My family and I are doing good! Happy New Year and God bless you always!
Hey Nicole's DIY. Happy New Year to you and your family as well. Just a special note; I put out a video of using Metal Leaf on a cuckoo clock. I always wanted to try it and I found the right clock to do it to. Very glad to hear you and the family are doing good and kinda miss you and your videos, but I understand. God Bless you all and stay warm.
Great work, Mike! Loved the song at the end.🎶 Idk what happened, I went to your channel to see how long your recent upload was, and this was first on the list and I clicked on it. Sorry, but maybe will help analytics.😁 Will have to watch another one tomorrow. Have a blessed week.🌅

Every year we host a Chinese student. One of my clocks had holes in the bellows at the back hinge. I used a one Yen Chinese bill. Similar in construction to our currency. Holding up fine. More flexible that post office envelope and far cheaper too.
Thank You Mike, I am definitely going to give this a go, you make it look easy. I am sure the first couple times will be amusing but I am stubborn enough to get it right😀 thanks for information and may God Bless!
If you have that kind of talent, maybe you should give it a try. Yet, if you don't, I understand. Just like remodeling a house.... I don't lay carpet, nor linoleum, but I do everything else. Thanks for stopping in DNA
Hello Mike 👋 I just wanted to say hello. It's been three weeks since I hung my Brand-new very first cuckoo clock. And, it's doing great. My pet bird chirps everytime the little bird comes out to cuckoo lol.
That is so funny. I am into the older cuckoo clocks, but the new clocks are wonderful as well. I do hope you are enjoying your clock and making memories for all that visit.
Always enjoy watching you work on clocks, I'm not blind I just need my glasses lol sounds like what I would say, keep on ticking along catch you on the next one.
Yes it does! My first one I ripped it apart and started over. Now that I have done so many, I know what I am doing and it's just like riding a bike again as some people might say. Thanks for coming back again Mark and God Bless.
Many thanks Mike, sorry but I never got the link, will investigate now, I have seen some adds, but what weight do you get and some say material and some say paper, really appreciate the help.
20 Sheets - Cuckoo Clock Bellow material repair or replacement paper CLOCK PARTS Funny the link didn't go through but you can go to Ebay and type this in.
I have been getting behind on my RUclips work because of working on so many clocks lately. But I am enjoying my Hobby just the same and that is what counts the most Sunnystormy.
Thank you for your instructions. Where do I get the tyvek paper? This clock that I’m working on was dropped off on my porch in a box of other things and I have never worked on one before.
I bought mine on E-Bay, This is the link for 20 sheets, but you can buy smaller amounts. 20 Sheets - Cuckoo Clock Bellow material repair or replacement paper CLOCK PARTS
The leather is only a symbol or static thing for a clock. You might want it on a very old clock that is very valuable. The Tyvek paper is a durable paper that isn't torn like paper of leather. If you buy the sheets for the bellow, the Tyvek paper is easily shaped and will hold it's shape.
www.ebay.com/itm/254032102074 Just go to EBay. I do so many that I buy the larger quality, but you don't have to buy this many. Just to let you know, my first one looked like crap, so I took it off and the second one turned out great after I learned what I was doing. A razor blade and a good sharp pair of assessors will come in very handy because the Tyvek paper seems hard to cut.
I would think, uncoated. not sure. This is a link on ebay to the ones I buy. www.ebay.com/itm/254032102074 Go there and read about their paper. Also they sell differed quantities, not just 20 sheets.
Hi, I understand you do Tyvak paper for the bellows of a cuckoo clock, I don’t know what weight etc but I see from another person recommending you get two sheets. I live in the uk, can you please advise exactly what I need, or can you supply to uk.
Not knowing for sure, but it isn't cheap to ship to the UK, yet just an envelope shouldn't cost that much. I bought mine on E-BAY and will send you a link. One paper does the two bellows unless you mess the first one up. The link is for 20 pieces, but they sell less on the site. Just type in the name of what I send you and there should be different quantity's of the paper Tyvek. 20 Sheets - Cuckoo Clock Bellow material repair or replacement paper CLOCK PARTS
Hi. I had a question my clock was working fine. The pendulum stops after an hour or so and sometimes in the half hour the music plays like it in the hour.
You have to remember that a cuckoo clock is considered a dirty clock because of all the openings to the room air. That means dust, cooking oils and maybe even animal hair gets up inside the clock more often. So the book suggests that you take your movement out every 3 to 5 years and blow it out to free all the dust and derby, then oil your clock to keep the old oil from gumming up. They also say if your clock stops, then it is time to take the movement apart and clean and oil your cock. If the music has been triggered from the hour and didn't play, then I could see it playing after the cuckoo sound.
Thank you. I just got the clock about a month ago from an estate sale from a family. What kind of oil do you use? First cuckoo clock I ever owned. It’s a Hubert Herr older type clock but looks great. It was working fine till I was out of town a couple days and I wasn’t hear to chain the weights etc. then I do as usual and set the clock then a couple hours later the pendulum stop
@@gigglecon999 I think you might be safe too just oil the clock and see if that works before taking it apart all the way. Remember to oil BOTH side of the movement, otherwise you will be wasting your time. Take pictures before you remove the bellows so you can get the wires back on the right lift arm.
Hi there! Great video, but this sure looks like a lot of work. Because my patience isn't what it used to be, I saw that I can buy a set of bellows for $10 on eBay - That might be a better option for me.
If I were to buy the bellow tops again, they are up to 7.25 for a pair of 2 3/8 long and gets a little cheaper as the size drops. (Shipping not included). This is where I buy most my supplies. www.ronellclock.com/
lol, the clock bites? Each clock I work on gets easier unless it is new to me that I have to figure out. Just take you time and LOTS of pictures before and as you take the movement apart and watch how it works to see if you can figure the clock out. Good luck when you do start the repair Matt.
I have a suggestion. When you are making these video’s,turn off the radio (music) and stop all the background noise. Very distracting and annoying. Like the videos otherwise as they have helped me a great deal.
Well, you are a day late and a dollar short. This is one of my older videos and it is amazing how my camera will pick up any noise a mile away. After editing, and listening, I couldn't just trash the video. So I tried to feather the noise out a bit until I could turn off that radio. Thanks for stopping by Jabberjaw.
It's always nice to sit and watch you
Thank you so much Miss Canadian Scrapper. Love to see you again. God BLess.
Mike thank you for sharing new cuckoo clock repairing vlog. Let's Stat watching. 💖💓❤️💞💕
Don't worry about the noise I am so glad to get the info. Thanks Mike
Thanks John. The noise is amplified with the camera. Rookie mistake. I have a better setup now in this room. Thanks for watching.
Thank you . This helped me a lot with fixing my clock.

Great video! Thank you for sharing. I’m excited to get this family clock back to working condition! This is a HUGE step forward. Thanks, again!
It's always a huge step to work on a clock, but you don't know if you can do it unless you try. Good Luck and God Bless
Worked like a charm! Thanks again, before I know it I'll have this clock fixed with all your videos!!
