Great to see properly trained and responsible divers navigating this site successfully. Too many horror stories out there, but you guys are a great reminder that this hobby requires a lot of experience and technical skill.
Keep up the great work!
I was apprehensive because of the title. But you folks did it the RIGHT way! Thanks for this beautiful video, and thanks for showing just how much preparation goes into such a dive. BTW isn't the 2-tank sidemount on the left side uncomfortable? I'd imagine having a tank sidemounted on each side would feel more balanced.
We are diving with a twinset and long hose, in that case, the stage tank on the other side blocks your right arm and long hose. This is critical in long hose sharing situations.
Oh wow I haven't even thought about that. Thanks for your reply! I'm still a new diver diving on a single tank, but I want to continue my training and one day be able to make dives like the ones in your video :)
@JustinMaz why are your secondary second stages not on a necklace, but are clipped off to a D ring? I've seen at least two guys with that setup. Also, at least one had a torch clipped off to his right D ring, and it was just hanging, not held by a rubber band.
If you watch RUclips idiotic documentaries sensationalist trash. Everyone can do it, its a very simple dive with proper equipment and a bit of training.
@@JustinMaz thx, I was already thinking that way. Whuch gassed did you use for decompression on that dive? All 15l alu bottles. The more info the better. By the way, very nice video and very responsible divers. Congrats
@@JustinMaz Dear Justin, just one last question, what was approximately your descent time, and what was uyour bottom time at 70m. A dive profile from a diver who did the arch could help me
Very very nice!! Wich diving did you use for this dives and what part of the gear were you able to rent there? (bit worried about twins and deco bottles). With respect to the "arch" dive what woudl be the minimum depth to be able to clear the arch ? Thanks
Planet Divers Dahab can provide you full technical equipment and gases, also they have a hotel so you can live in diving centre :) I think you can cross the arch around 54 meters depth, but I recommend to do it with trimix gases, it is really worth to remember dive!
First time i dived in blue hole it was 1996 it was only one person died there but in the way to hospital not in blue hole at this time i was advanced certified and i did the Arch of blue hole dived throw this 25 meters long to the sea i was very wrong and no one have real information about that dive site it was known in dahab have very views divers
I like the Canyon way more than the blue hole, but still a nice challenge. Cool video! And please tell your buddy to stop banging the tanks into the corals. That way stupid Russians destroyed the upper exit of the Canyon years ago. It could be restored, but it's a bad habit 😉
Why divers died there because at 55 meters if you don't have right BCD it's hard to ascent with narcoses some divers dropping down in seconds some take off weights ascent so fast some drop down but with tec dive site is not dangerous
It is not wise to spend a vacation on the seacoasts of Egypt & Israel, as the presence of hungry sharks due to arbitrary fishing has made humans the food alternative for those predatory fish
Diving deeper it gets colder, doing long dives, you get colder, also more buoyancy in a Drysuit! Doing multiple dives over a number of days you body cools down as well!
This is the proper way of surviving and also enjoying the notorious Blue Hole in Dahab: knowledge & preparation, skill & right equipment. Well done!

Great team!!!! Different music will be better next time. Incredible skills and performance!!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

wow and respect :) I am so sad that I need more experiences and tech/trimix courses to dive below arch :( Dahab is so beautiful location.
Done some awesome diving in Egypt.. especially Dahab..
Beautiful video and amazing diving skills ❤❤❤❤
Beautifull!! Thanks for sharing!!
Amazing shots!
Great video, I really enjoyed it😄

Wow this made me miss Dahab and diving. Thannk you for the good video and you're welcome to visit Egypt any time soon!
wooow... amazing 🤩🤩🤩👌👌👌
Well executed. Looks great.

3:28 looks like you pushed your PPO2 a bit, my calculator shows 17/50 mix for that depth, but great form otherwise 👍
1.44 for a few minutes - nothing dangerous in my humble opinion, that was the deepest part of our dive
Woww♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
this came up in the music category for me
Y’all did what so many failed to do

Hello, I will be diving in the blue hole soon. Can you tell me which gases you were using all the way. THX
@@fdevos1 If you want to do just a blue hole arch 20/35 is more than enough. We used 18/40 and dived to 70 meters. This was a part of our course.

What were the helium prices? For example how much did the gas cost to do the blue hole for one person

I watched a few videos of tec diving but didnt see anything interesting/beautiful - maybe it is like hiking you enjoy by doing it, but I don't get

So ignorant!
Overrated. The Arch is not a difficult dive site at all. Canyon exit is at 50m, what were you doing at 65?
it was a part of our plan
very difficult freedive

What’s with the dry suits
Diving deeper it gets colder, doing long dives, you get colder, also more buoyancy in a Drysuit! Doing multiple dives over a number of days you body cools down as well!
Dry suite gives you better bouncy control, also dry suite would work as a redundant bouncy device in case of a BCD failure.
