I ran into something worth sharing. I did this to create a mandala with 12 lines of symmetry. If number of lines of symmetry = S, then
The first rotation angle is 360/S
The second rotation angle is 360/2S
Now you can use this tutorial to create a mandala with any number of lines of symmetry!
Thanks for the awesome video, Nobu!

How do you expand shape?
ok, amazing tutorial. one question to anyone who can help. I just started using illustrator, what kind of size fie and in which units I should create for logo in the first place? Thank you
it basically depends on you, if you are making for specific os like android, you should start with 512px x 512 px document size and work with px as a unit. If you wanna change the units in illustrator you can go to edit > preferences > unit and change the unit. its good to start with a big document size(1920x1080) in first place because that might help in many ways. Hope this helps you out
I have my smart guides on, I aligned everything to the art board, and the "snap to grid" option is turned on, but when I go to rotate my shape it won't snap to anything so I can't accurately find the center of my shape. It will only snap to points if I'm moving an object but when I'm rotating or using the pen tool or anything it doesn't snap. Is there something else I have to do for my rotate tool to snap to center?
make sure you rotate the object at the same angle. and you have to divide the angle at the right value. for example you want 9 objects around a circle, then you have to divide 360 by 9 to get a 40 degree angle.
@1:58 why did you rotate it to 270. what is the purpose of it. anybody please?
When i copy with 360/10 the spaces are too big. How do i fix this?
Increase the size of the object that is being duplicated. 360/10 will give you a ten pointed mandala.
Why the 70s porn music? Tell what you are doing.
I just did this bullshit in multimedia
Very good
