how do you get your rotate menu after you select the rotate tool? I only get the object to rotate around its own axis? ##edited##: you hold down alt after selecting the tool

You must press ALT and click with Left button in your mouse. After that You type 45 and CLICK ON COPY. Ctrl+D is gonna work! I had same doubt
