I think Vocal Rider would be a little tough because it's essentially doing gain automation for you and allegedly doesn't use compression, so having something that reads the gain of your signal in real-time with stock ableton devices might be a harder one to achieve without compression/limiting.
@@miguelsandremusic That's actually not a bad shout! I'm not sure it would be AS responsive but if you can measure the reactivity of Waves V.R you might be able to replicate... oooh, my cogs are turning. Okay, leave it with me 😂
Great work as usual. Your channel is nice and clear and doesn't overhype things, thank you! PS: how long did it take to figure out and make this device?
Thanks a bunch!! :) Probably 5 minutes of using the demo version of the plug-in, 5 minutes planning and then probably about 45-60 minutes actually recreating it.
I've been wondering how to make how to make my own delays, within a rack. What I mean is, how to get the rack to feed back into itself. I can do it by sending a return channel back to itself but i was hoping to make a rack. Any ideas?
Ah so you can create almost "safe" feedbacking, I normally do it with an audio track/return that you feedback into an empty channel with a Limiter. I'm not sure there's a way to do it within the same rack as there's no way to re-route the audio. I'll jhave a tinker though, it'll be cool if we can figure it out. If I come up with something, I'll circle back!
@@Karl_Hogarth You know you can drag FX chains from previous projects right? So you could save them in the side bar and drag them in at the start of your project or setup a template. I cover both in my "16 things" episode last week!
you can use a compressor on S/C with the listen to source button selected, just be careful as it is out of control loud without taming! Haven't done it much in a functional sense but it's certainly possible
Doing lord’s work, I think something similar may be possible recreating the Erica Synths Zen Delay with Echo, Saturator, Dynamic Tube, Auto Filter and Roar but I’m too lazy 🤣
Dude, you’re really good at doing this kind of stuff. I’ve got a challenge for you. Can you simulate the original Distressor with stock plugins? There’s roughly 10 Distressor plugins that range between $49 to like $500. Are you up for the challenge? 😜
This is indeed a very useful demo of what you can build in Ableton Live. It's not "recreating" any plug-in though as this is more heavily-inspired-from rather than an attempt to make something very close. From the mixer/musicians standpoint that doesn't matter much though and learning how to make use of Ableton Live's devices is always a good thing.
Agree with you! I think it’s close enough to every pot on El Capistan that it would definitely steer me away from spending $79 on a digital product. I also reckon with a couple more hours you could recreate it as near as identical, the algorithms for the plug-in version of El Capistan aren’t that complex in comparison to something like Output’s “Portal” for instance!
Thanks, I think you just proved why ppl are happy to just pay the $79 😅
Always delivering! Love these videos, my friend!
Thanks my friend!
awesome content!!!! keep it up dude! 💪
Thanks! Will do!
Amazing! Nice work as always!
Thanks bud! Good to see you here.
I’ve been trying to recreate Waves vocal Rider. I kind of got to the answer, if you could give it a try, I would love to see your input.

@@WillHatton Yes. Initially I thought about using the Envelope Follower mapped to the utility gain knob, but I need to figure out how to make it work.

Yeah it would be cool to be able to make a device which can be used in different projects rather than having to build it in each new project.

You could try the max4live set audio routes it has an audio sender and receiver it may be possible with that I haven't tried tho.
Man thanks and keep them coming
Happy to help, will do!

thank you so much as usual !
My pleasure!
are the effects that you use, all available in Standard, or do you need Suite?
Suite!
Great video! I was on the verge to buy :-) the plug-in.
Happy you found us!
Great work!! would you be able to make Chase Bliss Audio's Mood or Blooper in Albleton?
That would be really difficult..maybe with Max.

Tried this on Push 3 Standalone?
I am honestly surprised !
