Love the voice modulation. Sound quality has been enhanced. :D no pressure. I love this. These process write ups also sound like Annotations. I like how you go through each step by step for the Process write up. Strong delivery, excellent visual examples. I will be looking at the portfolio options. Camtasia has a snapshot option in their paid version, also. Unfortunately, for Master's portfolio summary and process is much longer for Graduate Portfolio. I love your videos because they bring the steps my professors write out (in small text with bullet points), which are very hard for me to read and comprehend as a Non-traditional, disabled Instructional designer interested in innovative technology to enhance instruction. These winner badges are for you!
Are the places you source assets from a tool? If you use the AI suite in Freepik, and its mockup tools or Hey Gen for its Avatars would you list that? Or are tools only software such as Storyline?
Devlin, once again, this was great information. When you mention using mockups on screens, would you use the same imaging for each so it's consistent? Or would you mix it up with different desktop designs, mobile devices, etc.?
Thank you for this! What's the best way to write up results when the information is proprietary and can't be used on the web, or when you're featuring a concept project?
You're welcome, Sandra! If the information is proprietary, perhaps you can just discuss the process that you used to bring the project to life (and if the impact isn't proprietary, then you may be able to discuss the results). I would definitely get permission from any necessary parties though if it's a real project :D. And if it's a concept project, you can discuss the feedback that you get from the people that you do share it with.
What are your thoughts on a project write up that is an embedding storyline project with open navigation so they can explore what they want to. Maybe too complex . I would start with the intro of me giving the overview and navigation instructions in a video and then the user can learn as little or as much about the project as they wish. I really want to highlight how the project fulfils things like Gagnes 9 events, what blooms taxonomy based objectives, showing user personas/ needs assessments etc. As a former teacher I really need to emphasize my understanding of adult educational theory but I also don’t want to bore people to death if they are not interested.
Good question and interesting idea! This video might be helpful to give you some guidance of how to format your project to help the learner manager the cognitive load for something like that: ruclips.net/video/DcggTN5DlYU/видео.html

This will serve as an excellent guide to my first write-up. I appreciate your approach and content Devlin.
Really glad to hear it! Keep up the good work and thanks for supporting the content 😃
Listening to this and revising based on your feedback is a great way to finish out this part of my portfolio building process :)
Thanks Jessie! It's all coming together :D. Looking forward to seeing the site live and ready!

Hi Katy! I mix it up…if some projects are better for mobile, then I show it off on mobile device. If optimized for desktop then desktop, etc.
