Bailey has gone back to the bailey of previous seasons. Carlos should have been sold in the summer as he's not good enough and we keep having to move konsa to RB, yet he's our best CB!
No one wanted to buy Carlos. That was the problem.
What a terrible take on Bailey. He's only back from injury and will be pivotal against Bayern.

@@ronanoreilly7653 this is not reactionary. We are 6 games in and his performances have been way below par. Twisting and turning, falling over himself. As I said, it's like he's the bailey of old, but I hope that changes. His performance against Wycombe was shocking! Fitness or no fitness!

How many goals this season have come down the right hand side? Bailey, Cash, Konsa, Carlos are all to blame for the defensive weakness of this side
I get the disappointment but we got to pick ourselves up for one of the biggest games this club has had in a long time. In Emery we obviously trust and soon Cash will be available so Konsa can move into CB UTV!!
Bailey was way off it and has been every game this season. Carlos is a liability if its not his stupid passes to marked midfielders its his woeful lackluster defending and pushing Konsa to right back leaves us wide open, Ramsey still doesn’t look fit to me the way he used to run at defenders doesn’t happen he turns and passes back.
Kosta Nedeljkovic should be playing & Diago Carlos shouldn't be in the team as his mistakes in every game & his lack luster showings are not what i want to see personally. ☹️💩⚽👎
I think we are constantly shown just how vital Kamara is for us. We leak so many goals without him each game. Onana is a great character to have and will have good games, but I don't think he is 'the new viera' like some of us say. Kamara is much more solid and I'm hoping so much he comes back as strong as last season! UTV
Emery keeps hoping Carlos can be slotted into the back line but he just isn’t the level of quality we need at this moment. Ipswich tore him apart, how can we rely on him against top table clubs or Champions League clubs??

Look i know we always look for a scapegoat after a bad performance but he is a liability. Tielamans technically very good but if he looked up amd seen the pass more we'd be a better attacking threat.

Ofcourse Mings could play next to Pau.
Konsa at right back, and we change to a back 3 in possession, with Mings in the middle for his signature aeriel dominance.
Football has never had issues with 2 rightfooted centrebacks, so lets stop forging a false issue with there being 2 leftfooted centrebacks.
With Villa being so left side dominant, with the left back pushing up, another left footer in defence would only support our style.
Konsa is good at centreback, but with Pau and Konsa as your centrebacks, your only aerial threat/protection is Onana.
Mings has to start, in the middle of Pau and Konsa. Bottom line.

Feel like Gerrard's ghost is haunting us when Diego Carlos plays. Cash can't come back soon enough but agree with Frankie in that Nedeljkovic deserves a chance. He's the most natural replacement to Cash and at least let's Konsa play at CB where we bloody well need him!
Carlos wasn’t grate today and I think it’s obvious we want Konsa at CB but there’s no way we can put today’s result at Carlos’s door .
Carlos probably should have got over quicker for the first but it was the sloppy lazy ball from konsa that put our backs against the wall to start with .
The second, Konsa again, sloppy ball and still wasn’t in a grate rush to track back which left Carlos stuck between a rock and a hard place and didn’t know if stick or twist .
Whoever our centre pairings going to be, we just need a consistent run of games .
This shit happened last season, where we kept changing our back line and struggled pretty much every time we changed it
Never like to dig out players; I had concerns before the season started that Bailey had a massive purple patch last season, he was OK today - philogene has shown nothing today (or since he came back) to demonstrate he can push for a starting berth as Diaby did last season… the whole right side is such a worry
We’ve had the wins but the way we’ve been playing this season isn’t sustainable and today was proof of that
In fairness, Watkins really did have a good game. His movement is so good.
Ramsey simply isnt brave enough. He offers nothing going forward. He is the man with no role. Is he a wide man? Inside left or mf? He receives the ball with his back to the goal and simply passes it back. Bailey looks awful without cash. Onana isnt a 50m player. He doesnt impose himself and lacks real aggression
Great assessment, apart from us being crap - never say that! Remember the point against Sheffield United, Frankie remembered the point against Bournemouth, all very much welcome! Re 20mins after HT, 2-1, coasting, I literally said aloud “we can’t ease like this all the way to 90” just before they scored. Did we hold back for Bayern? Underestimate ITFC? Were nullified by ITFC?

I'm telling you - we are a much worse side when McGinn isn't there. I've said it before in response to people saying that we've moved past players like McGinn but he's invaluable to this team. He doesn't do anything flashy but he breaks up the opposition and drags the team forward with him. Too many players become passengers when his leadership isn't there. Against Ipswich we looked like we wanted it less, we looked slow and less physical. If McGinn's there then it's a different story.
We were so slow and lazy. Casual is the right word, Frankie. Despite all the words pre-game that we're focused on Ipswich, I got the impression all eyes were on Bayern... no one putting a shift in, everyone looking to avoid injury
We needed to upgrade Cash. He is the best RB in the squad, also the weakest link in the strongest XI. Cash won't start v Bayern so I would drop Diego, Konsa at CB and start Kosta. At least he's a bonafide RB
I really think we are, going forward the most potent side in the league but all that is negated by the chances we give up. It just isn't sustainable to have to score 3 goals to win every game. UTV.
Konsa needs sharpen up Rogers was trying to hard even though he hooked up with Watkins really good. To many off.

Why are we letting talking so much about our teams weakness. Don't you think if our opposition scouts listen to it, they will try to exploit it. I mean there is so much negativity on Carlos and right back position.

Very disappointed,we had the chance to go joint top & bottled it again, feels like groundhog day from last season,when we had chance to do something special we F up. We play like that in UCL Bayern will smash us even without Kane,could be a 5-1 or something stupid if we play like W⚓️'s. Nedelkovic should be starting at RB or Cash when fit, play RB's at RB & CB's at CB,simple. Konsa back in middle please,Drop Carlos, Ipswich made us look foolish, fair play to them, they took the game to us & we couldn't handle it. We need a wake up call, let's hope today was it. Ref was crap,we were crap,the weather is crap, let's hope we sort it out fast,we did this dance last season dropping points when we should be better. Some of the criticism is typical hysterical negativity as usual.
Try to never say this but the ref cost us the 3 points. They scored a minute after the obvious 2nd yellow. Awful Attwell. (Caveat we were awful too and that's not on him)
Both our teams gave a 2--1 lead away both poor defensive errors, thats September done and gone, October wins from now on
