  • Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB) is a medium-sized, multi-use airport serving air carrier operations, as well as corporate and general aviation. The airport is also home to numerous flight schools Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. This mix of traffic ranging from the professional airline pilot to pre-solo student pilot presents unique challenges to both pilot and controller. The airport configuration consists two parallel runways and one intersecting runway. This video prepares pilots for hot spots and common issues at DAB.
The FAA's From the Flight Deck video series uses cockpit mounted cameras to capture runway and taxiway footage and combines them with diagrams and visual graphics to clearly identify hot spots and other safety-sensitive items. Learn more at www.faa.gov/Fr....
Visit www.faa.gov/dab for supplemental "pilot handbook" information on this airport including airport-specific cautions, information local controllers want pilots to know, airport communications, airspace details and other preflight planning resources.
This video is informational only and does not replace the pilot’s responsibility to conduct required pre-flight planning in accordance with FAR 91.103.

FAA, this series "from the flight deck" is phenomenal! Thank you for producing these videos. I love it! Maybe you could profile some airports that are the primary airport for class B. Could you profile KJFK, KBOS, KATL, KLGA, KLAX, KDTW, KDFW, KSFO, KORD, etc?
