I have lived in a large home in a very nice neighborhood for 24 years and never speak to any of my neighbors although I have tried. everyone is extremely private here. If you have kids I would highly recommend a smaller home ,apt, etc. where there is a sense of community rather than materialism and entitlement. my husband loves it here but I'd trade it for a house one fourth the size with no huge yard, pool etc. to fret and argue over. money then becomes a central focus in one's life and believe it or not it is a hindrance to happiness. Keep your life and your children's lives simple and enriched with relationships and not too much stuff. I know because I have lived it for 30 plus years.
@Michael VR I grew up in a 5 bedroom house with yard. The only time I roamed in the yard was to mow the lawn. The rest of the time I was in my room listening to albums. Apartment would've been just as fine with me
@Michael VR Oh yeah. Families today gather around the Hearth and tell campy stories. No mobile phones, no tablets. Then they go out in the yard and sing songs. Totally Joyous family affair
Is CTV out of touch . Sheesh people raise families in apartments. This whole home ownership lifestyle is a scam. Oh but you must be poor because you don't own a house. Just because people have learnt to expect or want less does not make them in need.
Whts wrong with that ? I grew up in a 2 bedroom apartment both my parents were working in the cental district it saved them a lot of time and it was easier to clean
+dh3758 Everything is going up it's ridiculous I don't see how most people can afford to live here I feel bad for the younger generation anything decent where we live is at least a 1000 dollars a month for rent and that's for a small apt
Is this TV channel running out of topics, what's wrong with living in a condo.Oh that's right everyone must be a lemming living in overpriced house with a huge mortgage..
You realize all over the world children sleep in huts and on dirt floors? Look around and see the blessings and privilege and then maybe you can change your narrow mindset.
Just bought condo. Problem with unsupervised children. Today several kids playing with a dog without a leash. The dog attacked my dog. Now the only way it seems to deal is to talk to the kids to find out which unit they live in. Other wise the HOA can't do anything. I struggle with my anger and don't feel comfortable interrogating kids or following them home to confront parents. What is another way to get the information with out putting myself in a position to have a angry melt down?
okay, but people have been living in apartments and condos for as long as they’ve been around. Why is it such a shock?
In Hong Kong, everybody raises kids in flats, aka condos.
Gee, buy a condo near work to spend less time travelling and more time with your family . . .makes sense.
Condo living is great, it teaches kids more skills and gives them more access to friends.
I think a big surbuban house and a downtown condo are both just as respectable.
What’s wrong with a condo?

@Michael VR No hard feelings. You sound defensive though
I don’t get it, why are they complaining, they are not sleeping in the streets. Omg......

DusKeyOwl This is a condo so she owns it. Same racket.
We grew up in small place and it's amazing to have a close not family ... I don't understand the problem

That's nicer than any place most of us have been...
I love condo living
Very smart decision I think.

I don’t understand why this is an issue
Why is this a news story?!
I don't get it
Sergio Barrios What’s not to get. A two hour drive to work was not for her.
JohnsRadios I don’t get why they make look like it’s a big deal?
Sergio Barrios then you’re one sheltered individual
Mandy Schmidt um no I live in nyc and always lived in an apt. So did most of the people that I know.
Sergio Barrios exactly its the same in london and it makes no sense how this actually made the news
What ? ! Raising kids in condos ? ! Child Abuse !

@@xan8185 You do realize Sandy was SO CLEARLY being sarcastic??

This new lifestyle is awesome. Cars and backyards are luxuries. Soon, we'll need to build even further into the sky.
Nothing wrong with that.
I wonder if some animals know they're being farmed.
Vile Crocodile and can you believe we just let all these wild animals walk around in our houses too?😛
I wouldn't want this real estate agent working for me. Why does she put her car in her shower. LOL.
No stop it. Downstair neighbours need their mental health too
