❣Method #2 is a good one to start, with the Shawlette shown. Although more fiddly at first, there’s also more flexibility; and no extra supplies needed, except for your thread hook and beads. Thank you so much for this tutorial! The beads sure do add a nice touch. I kind of like that second method even though it's a little fiddly. I can see that it goes quickly once you get the hang of it! 💕
Hi. Lovely seeing you, as always. I’m glad to share the techniques and things I learn along the way. Gives one more thing we can do with our Crochet projects and another reason to order more supplies!!! 🤪
Hi Helene, a very interesting tutorial, great to have a choice of method. I too like to support my local shops and suppliers. We must keep them going if we can, thanks for sharing this, take great care. X💕
Hello 👋 friend! I’ve been wanting to try beads in my crochet for special projects! I totally appreciate your tutorial and the different methods on how to add the beads🙏🏻 you are a great teacher ! You are very thorough and I love that you take your time to explain and how you explain why you do the steps you do! Thank you so much! Can’t wait to try these two methods and see which one I will like best , or maybe I’d like both it would just depend on the project! I will definitely show it off whenever I do get to try beads in my future projects! Thank you again Helene! You are greatly appreciated sweetheart!🤗💙🥰😘
Hello, hello! And oh my goodness, how lovely, sweet and thoughtful of you. It truly means a lot, and really inspires me to keep bringing more content. I’m so glad it was helpful and that you enjoy the extra details! Knowing and seeing why something is done a certain way, is what also helps me to learn new things; and remembering them easier! Both methods of adding beads can be quite useful; but as you’d said, really does depend on the yarn and project. Have a great night and thank you so much! 💕💕💕
Hi Karen, and I thank you so much. Glad to do it. I hope it was helpful and not too much info! Method #2 is a good one to start with for this project. Definitely a lot more flexibility with it. I’d love to know what you wind up using and how it turns out. ❤
Hello Helene, thank you for this tutorial. I never considered that beads could be added to my crochet projects. I like bling so I will definitely be trying this. I also like that your demo showed two methods. I liked using two hooks better.
Well hello there! Thanks so much for your terrific comment and input. I’m so happy you enjoyed my demo and will be giving it a try! I go back-and-forth between which method I like better; but mostly comes down to the yarn and project. I do prefer the way the beads lay, and more flexibility with the second method, too. Take care and have a great rest of your weekend! 💕💕💕

Hi Helene, the beads add so much beauty to the shawl, I don't know if my clumsy fingers could ever do this...I won't know until I try though. I think Method 2 would go faster, I have some of my Mother's old crochet hooks, the end of one is completely worn off, she really loved to crochet...it was her way of winding down and relaxing at the end of a busy working day. Thank you for the tutorial Helene!
Hi Cheryl. I hope all is well with you. That’s right, never know till you give it a try! The big eye beading needle helps a lot for the first method. 👍🏼
Oops, I hit send before I was ready. I think it’s a trade-off timewise between either method. Comes down to a personal preference and your project. Sometimes I think I like one over the other, and then I change my mind! I do like method 2 for this shawl. That’s amazing your mother wore the head off of her hook! That would be fun to go through some of her things. Wish I could with you! 😍

Better too much information than not enough!
@@karenh2890 Thank you! That's my thinking, too! 😅

That was supposed to read, the way the beads lay. I corrected it. Auto dictation without proofreading first, isn’t all that sometimes! 😅
I’ve never done c2c maybe one day I will get it
