Great message Pastor Laurie. The story of David and Goliath is one of my favorite. I can only imagine what it was like to actually witness that event. God prepared David for that. Hours of practicing with his sling while watching his sheep. David already killed a lion with his sling. I think a bear too. How can you be afraid of any man when you already killed those predators. His sling was basically a gun and he was accurate with it. He didn’t let any giant talk down about God and stood up for our God. Our God doesn’t need anyone to stand up for him but God sees how strong our faith is in these types of situations and allows things to happen to prove it to Him, ourselves, and anyone around to witness it. David reward was great. What’s even better is David wasnt expecting a reward but just wanted to shut a giant up permanently for blasphemy against our God. He did just that.

You know I got a flat tire along a highway and there was only one tire shop open, it was Sunday. I was moving and feeling alone and stressed. I pulled over to the shop, waited for my tires and randomly bought the book "as I see it" by Greg Laurie. It happened to be on the top of the stack at Goodwill for $1. Imagine how beautiful that is for me to be led and encouraged by Jesus, so simply and vividly. Thank you Greg ! I have never looked back on my path to Christ.

PLEASE DON’T GET LEFT BEHIND How to Receive Jesus and Why: Jesus needs to know that you belong to Him, so you need to say the SALVATION PRAYER with your mouth. Why? Because the Bible tells us to.
Dear Jesus, I believe that You shed your Precious Blood on the Cross and died for me, and that You rose again on the third day. I confess to You that I am a sinner and that I need Your love and forgiveness. Come into my life, forgive my sins, and grant me eternal life. I confess You now as my Lord and Saviour. Thank you for my salvation!
Romans Chapter 10: Verses 9 & 10 says: “Because if you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and in your heart believe that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart a person believes and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms his salvation.”
Now that you have said this prayer you are saved and have been given a place in Heaven. You cannot earn salvation just by being a good person or doing good things. Salvation is a gift from God which you have just accepted. Your name is now written in the “Book of Life” (Revelation 20:15) which says: “And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.”
It’s not about religion, it’s about a personal relationship with God.
Forgiveness of others: Be sure to forgive people that have hurt you. Forgiving is not about forgetting what someone did, it’s about giving it to God. Just say, “I forgive them Lord”.

I just can’t listen to Pastor Greg anymore. There is so much going on in the world.
And it’s all bad. He’s hanging out with worldly people musicians? That’s not going to get us any closer to Christ. I found Pastor Jimmy Evans About a week ago.
He has changed my life like no other pastor has.
