    Ronnie Van Zant - vocals and leader of the band; Allen Collins - guitar; Gary Rossington - guitar; Steve Gaines - guitar; Artimus Pyle - drums; Leon Wilkeson - bass; Billy Powell - piano; Their last performance was South Carolina’s Greenville Memorial Auditorium on Oct. 19 1977 Free Bird lasted for 20 mins The next day boarded their plane that was unsafe the Fuel gauge was broke. The only way to check the fuel was with a stick. The plane ran out of fuel the engines were burning too rich and wasting precious fuel. One engine shut down then the other did. The plane went down over pine trees killing the members of the band, Ronnie Van Zant lead singer, guitarist Steve Gaines, and vocalist Cassie Gaines, that day was the saddest in Southern Rock. I was 20 when I heard about it on the radio. I cried like a baby.

    Oh how you underestimate that last instrumental. That is 3 guitarists, 2 playing the main duet, with the bassist also rocking out. This isn't just a performance. This is Legend. If you want another great live Skynyrd song check out;
    You got that right - 7/13/1977 - Convention Hall (official)
    There is reason these guys are still legends to this day.

    I love watching people's faces when My all time favorite band kicks it into High Gear and Shredds the Living Hell out of those 6 slingers ! Allen Collins and Stevie Gaines were 2 of the greatest guitarist that's ever lived ! I ran upon your channel and saw you reacting to my favorite band and I grew up jamming out to these legends.. I've saw em twice but not the original . I was fortunate enough to see Billy Powell the keyboard player and Leon Wilkeson the Bass player in Riverbend Cincinnati in 96 and both of them have passed on and I also saw The founding member of the Guitar Army Actual name The Outlaws out of Florida to and Huey Thomason was playing with Skynyrd when I saw em in 96 . You wanna hear some more shredding the Absolute Hell out of guitars you can react to The Outlaws Green grass and High Tides and listen to the studio version and I promise you will flip a lid and need a bunch of Cold Beer and maybe a good shot of Wild Turkey 💯

    Your music level is too low… about 20-30dB. It’s always better to have the music louder than your voice during a reaction. Try it and ask a friend to choose between different settings. Great reaction, thank you!

    • @jeffwarren4938
      @jeffwarren4938 27 дней назад

      @MC-fv4vv They used to be made out of rolled steel..they were thicker and a bit heavier back in the day. Coors was about the first American beer company to go to aluminum...soda cans were the same way. Take care, from Arizona USA...formerly of southwest Indiana at the time this video was made.
