Today we are showing How to: Smoked Lamb Chops on our Backline Fabrications Multi Tool live fire cooker. We got a great rack of lamb chops from our friends over at Happy to Meat You and seasoned them up with Derek Wolf Spiceology Cherry Chipotle Ale Blend. To this we made a cherry balsamic sauce over the life fire that went perfectly with these lanb chops.

Dawgfatha first off I'd like to say love your content, always great recipes for smoking and always very informative on where to obtain the great products you use! So I was wondering on this lamb video is it ok to put and use fresh Cherry's in the balsamic reduction? would it affect the the end flavour of it?

Alton. One of the most requested cooks I get is Lamb. You'd think being Greek and growing up on Lamb i'd have done one. lol Not yet, but I'm getting close. Nice cook brother!
That's a pretty neat "grill", good instructions!
I marinade bone in lamb loin chops in a mixture of olive oil, blackberry ginger balsamic, rosemary, garlic, oregano, basil, paprika & salt and let sit for about 6 hours in the fridge then reverse sear on the weber 22. Turns out really tasty, I usually pull mine at 135.

That was a nice rack of lamb. I'm a mint sauce person with lamb. I would have put a nice crust and rendered the fat. Again thanks for sharing you always have great cooking techniques
Hello Alton. Lamb is defiantly not for me either. I felt kinda bad when Dash made that at your house and he could see by my reaction that I did not like it... didn't have anything with the way he cooked it... just not a lamb fan. I have only had leg of lamb, do the chops taste different? I bet that cherry sauce is rich and delicious. Take care Alton.
Yeah I remember that bro. Same for me. Nothing against the cook rather it's just the flavor that throws me. Do for the lamb chops, I can say that when my man Elias made it that day, it was such a good clean flavor that I was instantly a fan of the way he did it. I went a totally different direction in flavor profile as he did and it was good but what he did was WAY better!!! I'm not sure how often I would make it but I know now that depending on how it is prepared I may try it again in the future. Thanks for stopping by my man. Have a great week!!!

This looks like a bunch of comments from people that have never cooked lamb. OVERCOOKED!!! You should have pulled at 120 then seared. None of that meat is pink. It's all gray, meaning well done. Lamb is delicate. I'm sure it was still "GOOD" but there's no way this was the best representation of what it could have been.
Maybe you missed the point that I'm not a lamb eater and tried so thing new. Thanks for your superior opinion my man. 😆
