While Aizen is a very cliche villain, he's a good example of cliche because it's not as simple as Isshin is making it. Remember what Aizen's stated motive was when he leaving Soul Society? He was being vague but truthful.

Ah Tatsuki, the one and only character Kubo bungled in my opinion. Though that could just me having unrealistic expectations for the character and she was only ever meant to be red herring meant for people to think of as a secondary character despite actually being a tertiary one.
