    Thank you for this. There is always something to learn. This is the greatest fighting game I've ever played in terms of the variety of hit to counter, the various strategies employed, learning to enter and exit, the variety of mistakes one learns while winning, and the ability to gradually overcome your weaknesses by training in the hyperbolic crucible of ranked play

    For the first shortcut standing DP, what's the reason to press Jump? It seems easier to just hold 6, 2+punch. If I press all at once it usually throws the punch then jumps, unless I delay press Jump right after 2.

And also i got often some problem to cancel to quarter circle in some cases like dive kicks or spiral from light, sometimes i got something like 24 instead of 214 (even if i repeat only the quarter circle part to be more consistent) so if you have some tips or ideas for that it would be great thanks :)

    • @Chris_F
      @Chris_F  Год назад +1

      Short answer: it won’t fix your execution issues right away
      Long answer: I always recommend people use the controller that motivates them to play and practice with. All controllers have their pros and cons, but switching to leverless won’t fix your execution issues right away. If you think that getting a leverless is a fun way to play then yes, I highly recommend the switch. I find that leverless has a bit of a learning curve for the first few weeks but if you can get over the initial hurdle it def becomes a great controller!

    Hi man, do you have any tips to buffer a cancel from a light to super on hitbox? (in my case i'm a cammy player, so i can't do something like 236 delay stand lk 236 lp because that throws a spiral arrow even if i delay the lk, and the window for buffering a double quarter circle after a sstand lk seems too hard to do). Thank you for your answer.

    • @Chris_F
      @Chris_F  Год назад

      Imagine you are on the 1P side.
      I would try holding 6, then pushing kick while holding 6.
      Then piano your ring and middle finger two times to get a qcfqcf motion. That’s what I do

  • @MundoSD
    @MundoSD Год назад +2

    I'm probably doing it wrong, but on the buffering qcf supers part I could basically mash the 1 as long as I'm holding forward and it would work.

    • @Chris_F
      @Chris_F  Год назад

      So the reason this works(assume you on on 1P side) is because you're not releasing your ring and middle finger at the exact same time, giving you a qcf motion as a result. If you release 1 with your ring and middle finger at the exact same time both times the super won't come out. That's why I included the method I did in this video; it's consistent.

      Push attack just basically means press any attack button corresponding to what super you're trying to do. So if the super you require to do is a punch, then press a punch button when you're supposed to "push attack". And if you're super requires you to press a kick button, then press a kick button when you're supposed to "push attack".

    I feel like naming the 4 directions instead of using notation would be a lot more clear here. It gets confusing once you try to cheat the system using SOCD

    • @Chris_F
      @Chris_F  Год назад +4

      I know that lots of different people are comfortable with different input terms so I tried to use directions with my voice and numpad with text to cover the main two.
      Also I’m not “cheating” the system. These are Capcom Cup tournament legal controller settings.

    Usually love your videos - this one misses the mark a bit, which is a bummer since I could really use the help. Your movements are too fast to see, so I would love to see slowed down versions of your inputs. On top of that, I am not a Ken player so I don’t know what each of his commands are - you could put those diagrams in here too (with arrows like they show in SF6 and not number notation).

    • @Chris_F
      @Chris_F  Год назад +1

      Thanks for the comment and for watching.
      I included the input history on the left as well as the virtual controller built into training mode plus a hitbox overlay on the top of the screen. If you find it hard to follow my hands, I recommend using RUclips’s built in slow playback.
      As far as the ken commands go, these are all special moves that are either hadouken or tatsumaki motions, which most of the cast have in their move list.

    • @POOPKID
      @POOPKID Год назад +6

      you could just slow it down yourself by adjusting the playback speed..

    • @drewface4652
      @drewface4652 Год назад +1

      you can just adjust the playback speed, the stuff he's showing in real time, unfortunately has to be done quickly/in a certain speed for it to be applicable. I understand it can be hard to follow but he shows the inputs for us on the side and shows us the command he's inputting at the top of the screen as well.
