I mean, how can anybody put a rating on a performance like this? My mind is blown every time I watch "Pulse".

This is my favorite song from this concert 😍 I believe it rivals Comfortably Numb in every way!!

It's good. But nothing comes close to the solo on comfortable numb in my opinion. The whole convert is superb though

Pink Floyd is on another level altogether bro!
The amount of beautiful, musical layers, that they add to their compositions is incredible, doing it in the studio is one thing, but to do it live, onstage, is another thing all together!
They are unmatched in live Rock performances, imo!
Dave Gilmour uses harmonics on his guitar, (Fender Stratocaster), in many Floyd songs, he does it here in the middle bit, he does it on "Echoes", in the "Time" intro, and many other songs.
Good ear bro, I'm a Rock guitarist from the 1970s and David Gilmour is, and was, a huge influence and inspiration for me!

Pink Floyd instrumentation is like a conversation with your subconscious mind.

Another great performance to another great PF song. David's solos are so emotional, which makes it all the more powerful. I've seen a few reactors that were speechless or even crying after a song of theirs. I mean, David does make his guitar cry at times. Great reaction man, peace.

It just doesn't get better than Pink Floyd. One of These Days is another banger from the same concert.

233,000 watts!!! When I went to this concert I was at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe Arizona! I was sitting in the north end of the stadium about 20 rows up and the stage was at about the 15 yard line near the south end zone. When they began I had my wife, son and daughter with me. My daughter was 14 and when the music started the inside of my body was vibrating so much I thought it was going to explode! My daughter was looking at me with terror in her eyes! I said it's okay, this is normal and she calmed down! That's how much POWER they had for this concert!!! You had to be there!!! The reason they sound so clear is because they only turn the volume up a bit more than half way!! NO DISTORTION!! Sorrow did the same thing to our bodies and by now my daughter was acting like she had been to a 100 concerts and I had to laugh!! This was her first concert! She's told my sarcastically "Thanks a lot dad" you've ruined all future concerts by taking me to Pink Floyd for my first one!! Had to laugh again!!
Really enjoy getting to experience these firsts with you!!!
You're doing GREAT! you'll be at 10,000 quicker than you think!! Just keep doing the same thing!! Keep doing Floyd and you have more "Yes" ahead of you "Alan Parsons project" Jethro Tull, The Who and so many more!! I prefer Floyd, lol !!

Love this song, great solo and great lyrics, the line "There's a silence that speaks so much louder than words, of promises broken", is one of my all-time faves. Anyone who's been through a break-up will relate to that.

A carnival in the brain for sure.
What amazes me is the reverence the audience has for this group.
They know they are experiencing perfection.

Yes they do callbacks! The very end of Shine On You Crazy Diamond Rick Wright plays a half a dozen notes doing a call back to one of Syd Barrett's songs. I can't remember which one although I said it was "Bike" one time but somebody corrected me who knew better than I do regarding that Pink Floyd era. Yes they do do those callbacks!!

You made me so happy tonight bro😂First, the "Hey baby", from Jimi Hendrix, my master on guitar....Then "SORROW", my favourite's song from Pink Floyd (before "Comfortably Numb", and "On the turning away")....And the best version of it (it's a cuted version, it's 1 more minute)....I saw that, in my own hometown, STRASBURG, FRANCE, in the stadium, 50,000 peoples....I was 14 years old, 1994....I will never forget that....I saw great guys, like SANTANA, CLAPTON, DEEP PURPLE, ETC....Iworked as a roadie too, on several big shows, Rolling Stones, etc....But, i'm too young to have seen my 2 favourites! HENDRIX, AND LED ZEPPELIN😢....Anyway, that version of "SORROW", is magic, there's another one, i have on a vinyl, live in Japan, in the 70's, which is great too.....But, it's my favourite song, because, it's so sad, nostalgic, and the sound production is just unreal....It's coming from another galaxy....It's out of question somebody, will tell us, there are, still, that kind of incredible shows, musicians, songs, today....Peace from France bro 👍 ✌️Thanks for the good songs you reacted to tonight, Hendrix and Pink Floyd (night in France, with the jet lag😂)....

" Sorrow" about Roger leaving the group. "Pulse" 14 days in a row sold out. their last concert tour. another version in 2016 with Dave playing at Pompeii without the big production, Just Dave playing his " Black Strat" wearing his Jimi Hendrix guitar strap. Which Jimi wore in July 4,1970 concert playing the National Anthem. Notice the beginning and end with some Hendrix

Pink floyd was one of the innovators of the synthesizer, along with a couple other bands of their early years, Emerson, Lake & Palmer also used it as a trademark sort of for their music. Rick Wright, Pink Floyd's keyboard player learned the synthesizer early on and they used it extensively over the decades

I definitely notice callbacks to older songs in a lot of the newer pieces. Especially between their album 'The Division Bell' & 'The Wall'.

I'm glad you finally got o this one. Personally, I think his guitar work here surpasses what most consider his best (Comfortably numb). His outro solo here is far more emotional, with less "noodling". When you can, please react to "Keep Talking" (a forgotten gem from Division Bell), to see another facet of David's talent (and more great stuff from Richard Wright and Guy Pratt): ruclips.net/video/qDTpJGM4Q7I/видео.html

Often on the live shows David just extends that guitar solo, Hence why reacting to High Hopes live would be a good one, No fade outs :P , Also On The Turning Away live from Delicate Sound Of Thunder Concert is an incredible solo! ;)

Some players can - and will - play 38 notes in 4 seconds. . and it's BORING!
From the first guitar note that David Gilmour plays in the introduction, until the first drum hit of the introduction is 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀. . .
Gilmour plays just 38 notes in that two minutes and five seconds . . and you are HANGING on . . . . LISTENING INTENTLY to 𝑬𝑽𝑬𝑹𝒀 𝑵𝑶𝑻𝑬!
It's sometimes the spaces between the notes that have the greatest impact and he is a MASTER of that. . Every note COUNTS and every note MEANS something.
