This family originally belonged from Kashmir, woman’s name was Willayat Butt, they were quite active in political sphere of Kashmir before partition. Her husband later became a registrar in Lucknow University, died off early because of big age gap between the husband and wife. Definitely they must have lived an affluent life till then but after death of father, the family had to survive on their own. For a while they also went to Pakistan but it’s not clear at what point the story of princess of Oudh came into picture. As is for the time spent in Malcha Mahal, Delhi Govt first offered them a residence in posh area of Delhi where other diplomats lived, but Walliyat denied. What same person would want to live in the middle of the forest in a ruined palace. Definitely there’s no water or electricity connection in the fort, as is for the rest of historical monuments in Delhi. The way this RUclipsr choose to ignore the books and other document shows her interest in selling hot story rather than stating facts.
