This may sound fucked up but I had a dream last night that I was friends with a wendigo. His name was Brent and he was probably one of the nicest wendigos (and only wendigo) that I have ever met. Then I woke up and I was alone in my college dorm and got sad. Cheers to you, Brent.
most of these creepypasta writers often confuse wendigos with skincrawlers, cannibalistic wendigos don't have antlers, they're more like emaciated ice burned corpses while skincrawlers on the other hand shapeshift into an assortment of animals or bipedal version of it and they mostly mimic deer thus the antlers

The Montana story came on and I actively shivered thinking about it. In the winter with all of our ski resorts opening up in the mountains and woods I hate leaving my house even more because winters here, even in town, are very quiet but dangerous. Waiting for my bus in the winter, even if it’s at the corner of a street with cars that pass in the morning, is nerve wracking when it’s so quiet.

The creature breaks into the cabin and he goes to sleep and only decides to check on his young daughter in the morning? It’s unrealistic behavior like this that ruins so man potentially good stories. In real life this man would have picked up his belongings and fled that cabin with his family as soon as he saw the creature, period.

@@jensqueue9783 I know them as deer-people or deer-men, my friend seen one as a child, fleshgaits are a little smaller and more vicious, deer-people usually don't bother anyone unless you invade on their territory. I also have seen a crawler as a child, along with one one encounter with a dogman and several with bigfoot.

When I was a kid I had a dream that my cousins brought over an old stray dog that looked beat up and asked if we could hold him for the night bc they didn’t have room atm. We agreed and latter that night I was thirsty so I went to get some water and on the way to the kitchen I can see the yard through a glass door. I see the dog stand on its back legs and it starts to grow spines along its back, claws forming and fangs growing. I can still hear the bones cracking. As it finished transforming, it looked at me. Eyes red, menacing growl, fangs showing, then it lunged at me. Next thing ik im in some sort of military base being integrated about the “dog”. Asking how I got it where it was and so forth.
At the end before he killed the creature in his cabin he said he left his truck outside but when he jumped out the first floor window and went to the hanger the truck was inside.who moved it inside? ?
Wendigos can be created when a person eats someone else. They become cursed with bottomless hunger. They are very intelligent, durable, and strong. They can be hurt through conventional means but unless their frozen heart is destroyed they won’t die. They are often depicted as being like a deer that walks on two legs. They are very capable of climbing and setting ambushes due to their intelligence. Wendigos and Skinwalkers are often confused with one another. Skinwalkers are not nearly as smart as Wendigos they are more of a mimic. Depending on how smart it is I’ve heard cases of most commonly them simply mimicking phrases that had been said to making their own phrases to most scarily mimicking an entire person. One of the easiest was to tell if there is a Skinwalkers is nearby is the smell. You can smell their rot their pungent aroma is somewhat of a calling card to them. Generally they are harmless if you notice the signs but if you are reading this and plan to go to the wilderness anytime soon. Please don’t follow the voices they aren’t human.
The guy with the disappearing tenants... did it occur to NOBODY that it could be a serial killer? Someone looks inside someone's window and then they disappear? Serial killer! Someone skinning animals in the woods? Serial killer without people available! "We don't know what they are"? Serial killers! The only way you know it's a wendigo story is because it's in a wendigo compilation!
The story at 56:00 about the mother who mourns her daughter mauled and murdered before her time before the rake.... that story is quite unlike any of the others on this selection. That poor woman and the notion of how maternal instincts would screw w/ a mother's mind to lose her own daughter in such a traumatic way. The tale is hard to believe. Is it true?

Fun fact (I am mixed, native/white and grew up around a predominantly native community, so i am educated on this.): Wendigo's do not resemble deer. They look like thin, extremely starved humans that display cannibalistic behavior. If you search up "The rake," they look similar to that, but they may be in bits of clothing or be holding items used in traditional native medicine. Skinwalkers are entities are can be seen wearing animal skulls or impersonating other life forms. They feed off of human fear and distress, and obviously it is VERY distressing to see a rotting bipedal creature wearing animal bones. The wendigo was at point human (according to legend). And Skinwalkers are a separatee entity that was not human. They are two different things! I believe the whole "wendigo wearing deer skull," is just a white adaptation to the legend, so while it is an interesting creepypasta, its not factual. But i am too, guilty of consuming white wendigo media, lol. It isn't exactly harmful, but it does spread somewhat misinformation.

We agreed and latter that night I was thirsty so I went to get some water and on the way to the kitchen I can see the yard through a glass door. I see the dog stand on its back legs and it starts to grow spines along its back, claws forming and fangs growing. I can still hear the bones cracking. As it finished transforming, it looked at me. Eyes red, menacing growl, fangs showing, then it lunged at me. Next thing ik im in some sort of military base being integrated about the “dog”. Asking how I got it where it was and so forth.

Wendigos can be created when a person eats someone else. They become cursed with bottomless hunger. They are very intelligent, durable, and strong. They can be hurt through conventional means but unless their frozen heart is destroyed they won’t die. They are often depicted as being like a deer that walks on two legs. They are very capable of climbing and setting ambushes due to their intelligence.
Wendigos and Skinwalkers are often confused with one another. Skinwalkers are not nearly as smart as Wendigos they are more of a mimic. Depending on how smart it is I’ve heard cases of most commonly them simply mimicking phrases that had been said to making their own phrases to most scarily mimicking an entire person. One of the easiest was to tell if there is a Skinwalkers is nearby is the smell. You can smell their rot their pungent aroma is somewhat of a calling card to them. Generally they are harmless if you notice the signs but if you are reading this and plan to go to the wilderness anytime soon. Please don’t follow the voices they aren’t human.

The guy with the disappearing tenants... did it occur to NOBODY that it could be a serial killer? Someone looks inside someone's window and then they disappear? Serial killer! Someone skinning animals in the woods? Serial killer without people available! "We don't know what they are"? Serial killers! The only way you know it's a wendigo story is because it's in a wendigo compilation!

The story at 56:00 about the mother who mourns her daughter mauled and murdered before her time before the rake.... that story is quite unlike any of the others on this selection. That poor woman and the notion of how maternal instincts would screw w/ a mother's mind to lose her own daughter in such a traumatic way. The tale is hard to believe. Is it true?

The wendigo is by far the most frightening creature because it can imitate humans. I’m glad we don’t have them in New Zealand - or do we ? Love your stories. Thanks heaps.

Fun fact (I am mixed, native/white and grew up around a predominantly native community, so i am educated on this.): Wendigo's do not resemble deer. They look like thin, extremely starved humans that display cannibalistic behavior. If you search up "The rake," they look similar to that, but they may be in bits of clothing or be holding items used in traditional native medicine.
Skinwalkers are entities are can be seen wearing animal skulls or impersonating other life forms. They feed off of human fear and distress, and obviously it is VERY distressing to see a rotting bipedal creature wearing animal bones.
The wendigo was at point human (according to legend). And Skinwalkers are a separatee entity that was not human. They are two different things!
I believe the whole "wendigo wearing deer skull," is just a white adaptation to the legend, so while it is an interesting creepypasta, its not factual. But i am too, guilty of consuming white wendigo media, lol. It isn't exactly harmful, but it does spread somewhat misinformation.
