Hello Clay and Rick, thanks for the look inside RWR. Seeing everything Rick does in that building reminds me of when Kenny Bernstein was doing NHRA and Nascar and Indy Car in the late 80s. I wish you and everyone at RWR well, and I'm so ready for Racing Season to start.

@@sanfranciscobay he had surgery after the WSX and is taking some time off. He said it was one of those stupid instances that should’ve been relatively routine on the track, and he has made many comebacks, I hope he has one more in him!
The little 24 hour car along with he NASCAR and Indy car are cool buuuuut nothing compares to 11,000 angry nitro burning horsepower coming to life when that injector hat is wide open. Cheers!
Clay, I'm sincere when I say this. You have to be one of the the most down to earth "rich" people I ever seen. Granted all I know is your RUclips persona but I doubt you change much off camera. You jsut seem like a genuine normal guy that I would get along with quite well. You're blessed with success and deservingly so, yet have not let it go to your head. Thank you. Maybe someday I will get to shake your hand. But I don't go to the races sadly. Such high tech in all those cars. And here all I want is a good truck to drive lol. Maybe my 01 will some day come out of the shop and treat me right.
That new dragster is going to be awesome. I remember the video from last year when the belts had to be switched out you went and made sure they were adjusted to your liking.

Just curious after watching the video here. I know it is definitely not ideal, but how much, or would it be possible to get the show car ready to race if in the almost apocalyptic situation that it would be needed?
That show car would take a lot of work. There have been several chassis rule changes since that car was run. For the first time in a long, long time we are going to have a back up car essentially ready to go.

Dwayne Engness owned it and used to run his Hot Sauce funny car once and a while out there and bring in other names to match race him. Saw Judy Lilly run and many others.
Clay. Can you make a video explaining how the Car, you and the Crew go from Race to Race? I don't expect you to type all the variables, that's why I think a 5-10 minute video would be helpful.
Think we have talked about this before. We don’t have a videographer it’s just me and my iPhone. I don’t ride with the team so I can’t get that footage. I can tell you it is two tractor trucks on the road along with an SUV and that’s how the team travels from race to race. I appreciate you commenting and watching.

@@sanfranciscobay majority of the team has moved to the Charlotte area. The trucks and trailers are at the race shop and the team drives them race to race. All the equipment comes back to the shop when the schedule allows.

Been following NHRA off and on since the 1970s. Kinda sad that every aspect of the car is set in stone by the rules, leaving no room for innovation to the cars themselves. Rethinking the air system for the thrashes between rounds is an example of just about the only place left for innovation. Angry Hornet showed us the specialized tool for pulling the main-caps a while back; that sort of thing is incremental, but it all adds up. Keep on stomping the Loud Pedal, Clay -- your team rocks!
@@claymillican25 a lot of RUclipsrs will often run a contest for intros for their videos. Not downing yours but , just isn't "catchy" per-say . It's kinda like the hook of a song. The videos beginning intro can be the difference between a sub , or someone moving on.

@@thomaskimparker809 I didn't have to see anyone to notice that the way the car is being worked on is not, what typical nhra teams do. They usually pull the hauler in the shop and work out of like if it was at the track. I really doubt everyone who has to work on that car is happy. Or am I only one that didn't get distracted y the fancy floors lights and pictures of the new shop
The only disappointment I had with this video was that it was only 8 minutes long. You said that you will be in North Carolina for a few more days so maybe we'll get to see more of what goes on in the shop. If we're lucky, you might get over to the NASCAR shop with your camera.

@@tripprogers4814 I don't know what type of Surgery, but if it's moderate surgery, plan on 6-12 months recovery to 50-90% healing.

Once the Season starts, I bet they keep the backup car 90-100% ready to Race.
