Nurse Cathy! You are helping me pass my Med Surg tests! I use my ATI-PN book along with your videos & it has greatly helped. Your videos are condensed but informative with all I need. I have reviewed the whole cardio playlist. Keep you posted and thank you for all you do! :)
I’m already a nurse but I’m binge watching ALL your videos I’ve been out the field for 2 years and wanted to brush up even when I’m not working at the moment , thank you !
Hi, I am Ramesh, 56, from India, about 10 years experienced patient in heart failure. I would like to share a few things that you could use for your patients in managing some of their problems. First thing is heart failure patients need to use diuritics to flush out fluid retained in the body. A time will come when the diuretics don't work. It is because your kidneys not functing as effectively as possible. So the patient needs to maintain optimumcreatinine level all the time. Also, legs up the wall exercise helps you in pushing back the fluid retained in legs. In yoga it is called Viparita karani asana. This is helpful for patients having deep vein thrombosis problem. Over a period of time, some patients get into the problem of neuropathy. For that there is an asana called Vajrasana in Yoga that could give very good relief. I am following them. And I visits to the doctor has come down drastically. If this information helps even one patient, my objective in sharing the info is fulfilled. I am not sure how long I would be alive. More than six years ago, one doctor was surprised that I was still alive!
Just Graduated from Nursing School and I have been using your playlist with UWorld to study!! it's been sooo helpful! l love how you can condense so much content, and really focus on the need to know! It lowers my stress lol. I take the NCLEX in 4 days!
These videos are great! I'm getting back into hosptial nursing after many years and hoping to do cardiac nursing for the first time. I'm binge-watching these to boost my knowledge and confidence. Thank you Cathy!
Thanks, I always mixed up Pulmonary problems and System problems with Left and Right-sided heart failure! Explaining it as "where the blood gets backed up from" helps a lot! ^^ Like, I won't remember everything. Sure. Not every single symptom of every single physiological process of our bodies. But just the tiny stuff that I remember by it getting reworded differently or even a basic mnemonic helps SO much. I really appreciate that.
Thank you for this video.. I recently just started working as a nurse in coronary Care Unit and I have a much better understanding of cardioversion and pacemaker now. Thank you
Sorry, Cathy, for saying this but "Peripheral edema and hepatomegaly are signs of right-sided heart failure. True or false?" Of course it's true!!! - had problems spelling it, here in my comment. 😅But you keep up the good job!
I am so happy I found you. I am struggling with my cardiovascular classes. Your videos are the greatest. They are almost like my power point slides ant ATI book. You explain everything so great.
