Acceptance in the face of excruciating vulnerability - incredibly beautiful and soulful words than ring true on many levels for many people. Thank you for an exceptional TED talk.
"Gender proves to be performance- that is, constituting the identity it is purported to be. In this sense, gender is always a doing, though not a doing by a subject who might be said to pre-exist the deed" Judith Butler.
“they [femininity and masculinity] are not tools in and of themselves, they are simply a combination of several tools”. - this makes so much sense to me
Fantastic talk on a very sensitive subject, great way to raise awareness with a blend of very personal stories, facts, humour and real-life, relatable examples. Also, incidentally, I liked that Ali mentioned reclaiming the term "queer" as I'm often worried I might fail to be inclusive if I get the end of the LGBT acronym wrong (LGTBQIAP+).
Hello, I loved the video, thank you for the courage. I'm doing my university thesis about this theme, if anyone who reads this could help me to find more info (sites, works, videos...) I would be really pleased.

Search for Judith Butler on youtube or places where university papers are published. "Gender performativity" is also a key word.
