  • Demo of the Diamond Pedals Comp/EQ
Rather than mess with perfection, the Diamond Comp/EQ augments the original yellow box design with a new Mids boost/cut control, Attack switch, custom spec'd, US made opto-isolators and modern, quiet switching.

Dang that is great. Scoop the mids for funk and bump them for lead work. Love it.

Got it today. It's nice. Hate the yellow on yellow indicator light. Maybe I can change the cover or paint it? Any suggestions? It's hard to see when it's working. Wish there were marks around the dials. Built like a tank though and I love that it has an EQ. I played for over 2 hours tonight A/Bing this against another ~$200 Comp. The Diamond got the nod by a slight margin- mostly since it has the EQ. It basically did everything the other one does- quietly also- does not look as cool but simply offers better utility and tonal options. High quality- not cheap. That is as honest a review you will find.

    Most musical-sounding compressor pedal.

Sounds great for guitar. However, will it work for bass and other non-guitar instruments, too?

There is a version specifically for bass!

@@PedalboardoftheDay Yes, the Bass COMP/EQ yellow that one too. However, can't find a demo of it as of yet. It must be at least just as good as the old one that worked on 18v.

I mean this as purely constructive criticism but the guitar sounds too hairy throughout in general to really demonstrate the pedal. Also the spring reverb is very distracting. Play long notes, soft notes, different pickups / guitars. Also the rhythm is pretty sloppy. Your presentation is great but the playing and lack of variation will hold your channel back. Hope this helps and doesn’t offend you.

For me personally I liked that it was all using the same/similar guitar inputs. That way it's more clear what the pedal is actually doing. It can be pretty frustrating trying to hear the subtle changes in the tone when the player keeps flipping between the pickups, moving their rhythm hand etc. Just my opinion...
It's demoing the pedal, not the guitar.
