Well we have no proof of anything, although I wouldn't be surprised if mod creators had the option to monetise if they sold on hytale directly. I'm sure that you'd still be able to get mods off of websites, like Minecraft
From what we've seen, the game looks awesome. The visuals and building are perfect, but on top of that they've done what Minecraft never could and actually fleshed out combat and magic. I'm really looking forward to it. ... BUT WHEN
Still expecting the public beta to come out in summer 2025. And if not by then, probably spring 2026. I can't imagine they'd take much longer to release it at this point.
Yep, still waiting on the magic electricity dust. If we're getting that. Maybe that question will finally be answered once we all get to try the game out, huh?
they should stop talking about the "future" after launch before the game is even released, if you want to talk about the future talk more about the things you are doing right now for the launch, not the things you are maybe going to do after launch before the launch of the game like come on
I don't mind big, long waits without much of a word on development. So long as I know the developers are passionate and dedicated, it's not hard to put it on the backburner and forget about it for another four months. It's what I did for Dwarf Fortress, and I'll hyucking do it again. The best games are won by patience. By hopeful, but not hype. It's not yet time to hype. Put the hype in your backpack and preserve it until the 1 week countdown before release (not the beta, the 1.0 release) then go ape wild.
This will need functionality: creating your custom model for a golem and a meteor (check), creating animations of flames and movement for them (check), hooking up custom behaviours like spawning in an entity meteor to using a spell item (sounds easy enough with coding knowledge), detecting impact and hooking up spawning a golem to it (also sounds easy enough)
Hype train derailed, Funding is "at will", and every "Big News" release just reminds me of just how disappointed I am with the Hytale production studios. (personal feeling) I feel when Hytale is finally released, I'll just continue to play minecraft and have Hytale stagnant in my unplayed or low hours games graveyard. Mr. Hendrix needs to come to realize, anything is possible, but the probability and feasibility of doing anything must also be considered. 90% of what is holding the game back on being released are things that can be released in beta.
constant innovationand expantion upon a unfinished project or idea is only a recipe to disaster from a management prespective + riot forcing it into live service is a cleare signal that this isn't even getting close to minecraft, let alone surpass it (comeback to this comment if you get dissapointed when it lanches/or when it dont )
When it comes to the first ask hytale, my thoughts from the answer point me towards thinking that the base game (the survival/adventure gamemode) will be in their minds a "complete and finished package" in terms of blocks, mobs, mechanics and the world generation. They will mainly be looking to tell more stories and adventures in this setting as their form of "updating" the game with the focus on telling a story/stories within the setting Hytale provides as opposed to the Minecraft style of content updates which adds blocks, mobs, structures and items. We will likely still get updates that add the mojang style but with it not being the focus on the content updates, instead the story telling aspect being the main selling point.
If Hytale isnt out by the end of 2026 I’m genuinely done waiting, I’ll be 26 years old with a wife and maybe a kid by then, I genuinely don’t want Hytale to come out when I will be too old or busy to enjoy it, plus development started in 2016 by then it would’ve been a decade of work and still not out, they need to spread the word about the game some more too, maybe post more videos of just behind the scenes because I have a feeling that the reason they still have so many job openings is because no one really knows about Hytale anymore, if they drummed up a little attention (showing anything off or even just a tour of the studio) more people would know about the game and would apply for their job openings.
For the time being, check out Vintage Story. It's a Hytale alternative more focused on survival and realistic mechanics. It's really good in my opinion.
I think Id be fine with a minecraft marketplace style store-- if they did the following -used real money price tags, not coins -have some kine of market to how much profit is going to them vs the creator -have a clear user rating system where users can give different packs simple 1-5 star ratings -have a user tags system so users can tag certain packs with relevant categories
when this game was announced, I would have had plenty of time to make stuff for the community but now my time is short. I would be interested if the tools are easy but I wouldn't be able to do a lot now
I am personally illiterate, so I will most likely need an inbuilt text-to-speech function, and bonus points if it's a button that starts reading based on where you're cursor is hovering. But if we're going the event update route, where people might miss out on the in-game story because they joined in late, or couldn't finish the last one fast enough, I'm going to have to take a hard pass if I can't play the game at my leisure. I think it might be smarter if upon starting a new game you would be able to play each event in order, where a new event does not start until sometime after you managed to beat the previous one. :3
ive been edged for 6 years. I am about to be out of college and still am looking forward to this game release. plz come soon before I have a family and kids and marriage 😀👍
This game has been in development for way WAY too long, I think and they should have released the core game it long ago. Every time I see an update I see more content added but no release I mean it is a crafting game with adventures. Surely they must have gotten the core of the game down by now and if not FOCUS on the CORE and get it done! Else there wont be a game in the end don't add a single extra feature and release the core game Already! Start having bigger timed betas open it up to early access at the very least so you can optimize game performance for all computers. I fear that this game will never release or be like Hellgate London where they ammas such a debt that they perish under it. If you have too many features you'll have a real hell trying to fix all bugs that comes with it at release and no matter how much time you spend in development there will be buggs and those bugs are not discovered by a small team especially if you have 1000000 extra features, the only extra feature that is allowed should be a good feedback system when it comes to bugs where players can report them in game and see if their bug corresponds to an existing discovered bug. Once you release the game make small free updates (bug fixes and maybe an extra boss or monster here and there for existing adventures and some extra things to craft) and bigger expansion updates where you can buy two types of level first you have user level (low cost you can host the new game mode but only users who bought the new dlc can join) and a master level (at like 3 times the cost) where the host allows anyone to join regardless if the have the dlc or not. Third add an ability to rent an official server with mastermode activated for a particular type. I think this is what they should do, but that is just my opinion. A great game doesn't need 10000+ extra features it just need good core mechanics and fun game-play loop, crafting games don't need to focus that much on content at release as long as the crafting and the feel of the game are solid.
Im not gonna lie... I forgor Hytale was even a thing that existed, and kind of assumed it dropped off the face of the Earth. That said, it kind of tells to me when, 6 years later, people still arent even sure what kind of game it will be?
We do know that Hytale will be a Social Platform where the Users can create & share their own Experiences. Hypixels Studio own Game(The Adventure of Orbis) is being made with the Same Tools that everyone can use to create their own. So someone could recreate Half-Life, Elden Ring, The Legend of Zelda(and get DMC'AD lol), Age of Empires, etc... in Hytale. You can also just modify "The Adventure of Orbis" to your likings, if creating something completely new is too much. Or, well don't modify anything.
The real concern for me is not the how limited modding tools will be,(because if this game become popular, people will always make incredible stuff like they did in minecraft )but rather will it use a marketplace like bedrock and make creations paid as saying that creators will be able to get money too. Considering Riot games is supervisor of this game this is pretty much a real possibility I guess, and btw adventure looks a lot fun and diverse, so if they dont make progression as fast as minecraft I can play it for a long time without worrying for paying to unlock new worlds (He kinda confirmed towards the end of the video okay lol I dont care modding tools now, their continious focus on creating new worlds means nothing because it will turn to big microtransactions marketplace.
I hope they understand that the hype train left the station a long time ago. We all understand the decisions they have made over the years, but a trailer made in 2018 is far too long to announce a game. They have lost most of their audience with years of waiting and it's hard to say if the beta and launch will be enough to sustain a dissappointed community. It would have been much more excusable for them to send a half baked experience and fix it later if the game is anywhere close to what we think it is, and I am one for never condoning shipping half baked products. I sure hope it's worth the wait, cuz me and most people have all but forgotten this project sadly
"A market place to sell our creations". That sounds like paid mods to me. That is gonna go over sooooo well with people. It was a smash hit when Bethesda introduced the same idea a few years ago.
@@mattmurphy7030nope, different argument. He's not talking about artists and creators getting paid for their creations. It's about the marketplace, not what you're trying to conflate it to. God forbid we have a game without micro transactions and gambling, right?
@@mattmurphy7030 I bet. Only thing would be if you're trolling, or baiting..? No other explanation, because you obviously missed the point If you are trolling or baiting, it doesn't matter, trolls get the @ either way.
Longer development time does not necessarily mean it will be good. Imagine after all these years this game will come out as a subpar game at best. Lmao
Why are all of your video completely CH|OCK FULL of "OMG we don't know shit about this game but WHAT IF IT WAS LIKE THIS.................... .... but wait, i'm getting ahead of myself lol."
I won't lie- it's been a *long* wait. Way longer than anyone ever would have expected or wanted. It's really hard to keep your spirits up when it's been so long. At this point, most people have already lost interest. There's so infrequent an update on the blog, so irregular an announcement, that it's gotten to the point that most of us can barely muster anything above an "alright, cool. Keep at it". But I'd always, 10 times out of 10, rather have a game take years longer to produce a proper product, than get a disaster of a piece right off the bat. And yet, if No Man's Sky taught us anything, it's that the legendary quote "A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad" does not *have* to be. And in that light, it almost feels inspiring, like no matter what happens with this game, or when it releases, it's still going to quite likely be amazing. I don't need the greatest game of all time. I don't even need the most fleshed-out experience and most dynamic ecosystem. I could care less for graphics. All I care about is getting the game I saw in the trailer. With intricate building, incredible exploration, all the things that made Minecraft as great as it was, reimagined with new people's passion. If that's what we get, then I'll take whatever comes with it, however long I have to wait for it to arrive.
I really fear that this game is going to end up not being the game I wanted to play. Specially given how the user generated content seems to be handled. Comparing to Minecraft, I'm getting too many Bedrock vibes instead of Java. Hopefully I'm wrong, but I'm no longer holding high expectations.
*Imagine people start ending themselves because of the absolutely unfathomable wait for this game. The game was nearly ready, then they said, let's remake the game engine.* 😑 *They easily could've made a new engine and prepared for a 2nd version release of the game. But nope.... Who cares about the fans.*
12:15 Bleghh! Personally I hate when monetization is added to modding as it shifts the reasoning to making mods to be for making money rather than making mods for the love of the game.. Like compare Minecraft's java mods to bedrock mods and roblox's market-place, Java is great as there is not a focus of getting money so people make there own unique things, everything is awesome, In the stormy dull castle on the other side of the road lies Bedrock edition which makes all these garbo money grubbing clones of each other trying to sell a product rather than share there passion.
Yeah this game is definitely gonna be over hyped and tons of people are going to be super unhappy when it comes out, but it will probably be a totally fine game for what it is. Unless entirely live serve and you can't play it offline then it really has to get a thumbs down, because that's lame. This game is really sounding like its gonna be like no-mans sky, you over promise and tell a bunch of people who know literally nothing about programing cool things, and lets just say it ends with a huge amount of disappointment. Then like years later everyone will say "Games good now" after years of updates.
Im so incredibly excited that they are keeping the sandbox, player focused creation, focus. I am more excited about creating my own worlds and content then any adventure mode could excite me.
Marketplace feature will ruin creativity, I am sure people will just keep creating small clickbaity content in order to gain more money instead of developing a standalone mod for years, I think this game will never be able to compete with minecraft java modding as bedrock marketplace can never compete with java either

At realese im gonna play as long as possible even tough im not a real video game grinder who plays for plenty hours at one sitting but hytale im gonna play like for ever at one sitting im soooooo hyped
I think that if they focus to much on story/ quests/ cutscenes it might ruin the game or I should say: It would not play into the expectation many players came to develop from playing minecraft

Well we have no proof of anything, although I wouldn't be surprised if mod creators had the option to monetise if they sold on hytale directly. I'm sure that you'd still be able to get mods off of websites, like Minecraft
i hope there'll be gauntlets as weapons for a hand-to-hand fighting style, i love punching things in games
If there isn't, you can make your own as a mod. That's what I love about the whole concept of hytale
From what we've seen, the game looks awesome. The visuals and building are perfect, but on top of that they've done what Minecraft never could and actually fleshed out combat and magic. I'm really looking forward to it.
... BUT WHEN
Au Ra PFP spotted, respect.
But yeah I agree, Minecraft combat is outdated and bad, hopefully this game nails it.

I really hope I can create skills/spells. If I can summon a golem that is summoned via a giant meteors engulfed in green flames, instant buy.
My man is really trying to reincarnate the Lich into our existence
@@arandomcomment5808now I want the Lich on Hytale too
This will need functionality: creating your custom model for a golem and a meteor (check), creating animations of flames and movement for them (check), hooking up custom behaviours like spawning in an entity meteor to using a spell item (sounds easy enough with coding knowledge), detecting impact and hooking up spawning a golem to it (also sounds easy enough)

Gosh, every time I hear about Hytale updates I get excited again, I can't wait for release
So the idea of live update... its like playing massive DND with a gamemaster?

@@michaloid8351I’ve played it tbh and it’s very fun but not what I’m looking for atm

I think Id be fine with a minecraft marketplace style store-- if they did the following
-used real money price tags, not coins
-have some kine of market to how much profit is going to them vs the creator
-have a clear user rating system where users can give different packs simple 1-5 star ratings
-have a user tags system so users can tag certain packs with relevant categories
I really hope they don't make it have 200 battle passes and 300 dollar skins that just change your skin color to green
when this game was announced, I would have had plenty of time to make stuff for the community but now my time is short. I would be interested if the tools are easy but I wouldn't be able to do a lot now
hytale team try not to edge us waiting for the game challenge (impossible)
I've literally have kids and am married now this game is honestly starting to look like all hype and no substance
Im inhaling some nice Riot copium that Hytale will be the true “Minecraft killer”
I think it has the potential to kill a lot of games ngl
at this point its more like Minecraft and Roblox had a child, i dont think it has potential do kill any of those two but it will sure make a dent
@@kweebec yeah when i gets released in 50 years
@@kweebec The games it will kill aren't even out yet, if it ever releases.
Considering Riot games is supervisor of this game this is pretty much a real possibility I guess, and btw adventure looks a lot fun and diverse, so if they dont make progression as fast as minecraft I can play it for a long time without worrying for paying to unlock new worlds
(He kinda confirmed towards the end of the video okay lol I dont care modding tools now, their continious focus on creating new worlds means nothing because it will turn to big microtransactions marketplace.
maybe they should finish the game before shipping out merch, yuck
I hope they understand that the hype train left the station a long time ago. We all understand the decisions they have made over the years, but a trailer made in 2018 is far too long to announce a game. They have lost most of their audience with years of waiting and it's hard to say if the beta and launch will be enough to sustain a dissappointed community. It would have been much more excusable for them to send a half baked experience and fix it later if the game is anywhere close to what we think it is, and I am one for never condoning shipping half baked products. I sure hope it's worth the wait, cuz me and most people have all but forgotten this project sadly
All I want from hytale is the ability to make a custom playermodel for both offlne and online play, so others can see my Sonic the Hedgehog model
dunno if it got mentionned already but they NEED to add a character creator with tons of variety so that everyone looks unique!!
So far everything looks amazing!
From the trailer it kinda looks like it
This game is basically just that “15 minute delay” clip from XQC

"A market place to sell our creations". That sounds like paid mods to me. That is gonna go over sooooo well with people. It was a smash hit when Bethesda introduced the same idea a few years ago.
The existence of the Minecraft marketplace basically killed mapping on Java because everyone switched to bedrock, or straight up stopped

Longer development time does not necessarily mean it will be good. Imagine after all these years this game will come out as a subpar game at best. Lmao
at this point it wouldn't surprise me
Why are all of your video completely CH|OCK FULL of "OMG we don't know shit about this game but WHAT IF IT WAS LIKE THIS.................... .... but wait, i'm getting ahead of myself lol."

The Team won't show any new Gameplay Footage until they reveal the new Engine.
The Engine reveal will most likely be this Summer.
Just hope i can play splitscreen with my brother. Splitscreen should never fade out.
I am so so excited! It's very promising to see the creators becoming more active on Twitter and being so willing to answer questions. i can't wait!!
The game was nearly ready, then they said, let's remake the game engine.* 😑
*They easily could've made a new engine and prepared for a 2nd version release of the game.
People say GTA VI is going to release before Hytale, but I will say Megaman X Corrupted will release before Hytale.
Im so incredibly excited that they are keeping the sandbox, player focused creation, focus. I am more excited about creating my own worlds and content then any adventure mode could excite me.
Well with the confirmation that modding is going to be pretty sick, I'm going to impatiently wait until I can start working on a warhammer40k mod.
Marketplace feature will ruin creativity, I am sure people will just keep creating small clickbaity content in order to gain more money instead of developing a standalone mod for years, I think this game will never be able to compete with minecraft java modding as bedrock marketplace can never compete with java either
I really hope someone makes a play as dragon mod like Starbound and Minecraft have.
