- The right mixture of tire pressure, sunshine, and pizza made for a great afternoon tour. A large part of the road is 15 or 25 mph. That keeps the few cars that we did see manageable.
Thanks for the ride beautiful scenery to boot
Great ride beautiful landscape, thanks for sharing, and Happy trails from northern California,Paul🎶😎
Thanks 👍
thanks for doing the video, loved the ride, I rode my trike on my trainer as I watched your video, had some great fun. Take care and have great weather and fun rides.
Thanks, you too!
Love this ride you did nice video
Wow beautiful road! You have me thinking about a Fat Tad e-assist even tho' there are few unpaved roads where I live.
All natural peanut butter on Dave's killer bread, a cup of coffee and a Row Tator adventure! Good Morning!
Good morning. I'm doing a little peanut butter, too!
Happiness to yours brothers
Ahh, Sunset Beach and `Akaka line fishing
Wait - you've heard of Pronto Pups?
I thought those were just an Oregon thing...nice!
Yep, at the State Fair.
How many layers did you have on by the end of the trip? Mountains can be quite cold even in summer, early fall once the sun starts it's lowering!
Shirt, windbreaker, hoodie, and a coat.
Relaxing but i don't think id like to be that low. I have too see and be seen
The low center of gravity is the safest for rollover coming down hills and braking. Two wheels are not an option for her. We refuse to ride on roads with traffic. The speed limits on this road vary from 35 down to 15mph near Ouray, which gives drivers time to see and react to bikes. Thanks for your comment.
Question...
I have a Catrike Expedition recumbent trike with top quality touring gear.
Food!... what type of food would you take if you were doing a long-term tour that was beneficial health wise and EASY to prepare for multiple meals?
I was thinking of albacore white tuna cans with a loaf of bread and mayo/mustard packets from convenience stores.
My question would be for those barren areas that don't have any resupply stops.
Thanks
Our tours are 5 hours or less. We have never had to worry about food on the trail. Does anyone else have any comments on this?
interesting. have not ridden that road; wise decision to stay away from the main road. why did you not use your fairing?
Fairing comes out when it goes below freezing.
Wheredid you keepyour trikes, so safely.
The trike has a vibration sensitive alarm. We stay close enough when away from it, so we can respond if needed.
What hats is it you’re wearing ?😊
